Example game: Honor of Kings (王者荣耀) Honor of Kings is a quick-match mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game inspired by League of Legends, a PC video game of the same genre developed by Riot Games, a subsidiary of Tencent Games.
Gameplay: Controlling a character with unique skills to kill non-player characters and opponents to acquire experience and gold, with experience used to unlock their character's abilities or augment their power, and gold used to purchase stuff from the shop, is the basic gameplay throughout all game modes (which change specific attributes depending on the item bought). The players then coordinate to eliminate turrets, the adversary's defensive structures, and win by destroying the core building within the enemy team's base. Specific gameplay mechanics differ based on the selected game mode. During matches, players also earn experience and gold, which are added to their accounts. Accounts begin at level 1 and can reach a maximum level of 15. When a player gains a level, they receive bonus in-game rewards. Additionally, gaining a level unlocks summoner skills that can be applied to every hero summoned. Gold can be utilised for a variety of objectives, including the acquisition of additional heroes.
