Google Meet/Zoom
Google Meet and Zoom Guidelines
Google Meets and ZOOM are ways for students to interact with their teacher while distance learning.
These meetings are set up for specific times and a secure link will be available.
Students will need to be logged in on their device to be able to access the Google Meet or Zoom meeting.
Google Meet will be accessed through Google Classroom or students will receive an email with a link to Zoom.
In order to participate, click the link provided by the teacher, and then click “Join.” It will not allow a student to join unless the teacher has actually started the meeting.
Students should keep microphones on mute unless they have questions or comments that can be typed in the chat box.
For students to be actively engaged in the lesson and with their peers, they need the ability to use the camera on their device.
Students must abide by the school’s acceptable use policy signed at the beginning of each year.
Students must follow the school dress code at all times when interacting with teachers and classmates.
Students will use school appropriate and polite language during a Google Meet or ZOOM.
Students will attempt to keep all background noise and distractions to a minimum.
Students will promptly exit the meeting when it is over. The teacher is the first one on and the last one off of the meeting.
Students should only accept Google Meet or ZOOM invitations from school staff.
