Cost: $130 plus money to buy food/souvenirs at the Jamboree.

Mr. Sharp will send an invoice once you RSVP

This is a expensive day trip but the opportunity to go to a Jamboree only comes around every 3-4 years so please reach out to enquire about using the Dr. Mac fund if needed

Attire: Class B

Where: Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia (3 hour drive)

Who: Any scouts that can go!

What: This is a great opportunity to see what a large Jamboree camp is like and everything the the Summit Bechtel Reserve has to offer. Bigger (and better) than summer camp, we will visit the National Scout Jamboree for one day and get to take part in some of the activities they have going on.

Also known as Scouting's Honor Society, Order of the Arrow (OA) recognizes Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long-term resident camping, developing leaders, and providing cheerful service to others. 

Wahissa Lodge #118 was founded in 1938 by Mr. G. Kellock Hale, Jr. and Mr. William Edward Vaughan-Lloyd, Sr. at Camp Lasater, becoming the 118th lodge of the Order of the Arrow. Scouting America recognizes the Order of the Arrow as a brotherhood of honor campers who exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.  Wahissa Lodge is proud to serve the Old Hickory Council, covering northwest North Carolina, and Camp Raven Knob in Mount Airy, North Carolina.  The brothers of Wahissa Lodge #118 recognize the needs to develop and maintain camping traditions by enriching camping experiences and to crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life of leadership in cheerful service to others.

Join Dr. Mac to help New Philly with the annual Shred Event!

Where: New Philly Moravian Church

Wear CLASS As

Details: Scouts will assist in directing traffic and helping with items to be shredded. You will get service hours for your help but don't forget to record it in your Scoutbook.

When: Feb. 26, 2026 7:00-8:30PM

Where: Skate Haven 120 Hood Dr, W-S, 27104 (off Country Club Rd)

Who: AOL cubs & Troop 964 scouts who have RSVP - parents welcome to visit with T964 leaders while the kids skate. For AOL scouts - please plan to have 1 adult stay for the duration of the event.

What: Troop 964 will cover the cost of skate rental & entrance fee for the AOLs, Troop 964 scouts & Troop 964 leaders. Troop 964 will also cover the cost of 1 adult per AOL scout. There is a concession stand if the scouts would like to buy themselves snacks. This is a Class B event. In lieu of paying the entrance fee, we are asking for non-perishable food donations as part of our Scouting for Food event in partnership with New Philly Moravian Church.

Let's show New Philly Moravian Church how much we appreciate their support. Meet in the Fellowship Hall (this is where we have our Court of Honor meetings, not the Sanctuary) at 9AM.  Parents are encouraged to stay for the service, which begins at 9:30am. Parents - after dropping off your scout, please head over to the Sanctuary and have a seat in our designated area. There should be signs and/or someone to point out our seating area. Typically, parents sit in the rows directly behind the scouts. The scouts will file into the Sanctuary together at 9:25am. This is a FULL CLASS A UNIFORM event. Let's look SHARP and show off all the hard work you've put in over the past year!
