LOGISTICS
Please meet at 8:15 at the St Junipero Serra School Parking Lot located at 23652 Antonio Pkwy, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688. We will assemble into vehicle assignments and ensure that all gear is headed in the right direction prior to departing by 9:00 am. https://www.ssrlv.org/directions
Bikes - We need to make sure that we have adequate bike racks/transportation for all bringing bikes. No bikes available for loan.
MEDICATIONS
If you are sending medication with your scout please put that in a zip lock bag with your scouts name on it. If there are more complex instructions, please include a note in the bag. All prescription meds must be in their original bottle with scouts name and not expired.
GETTING ORIENTED
Adults, olders scouts and younger scouts who like to be in the know are able to review the Leader’s Guide for First Day Procedures document (Page 19) to better understand the check-in process as well as what will occur on Sunday.
MERIT BADGE UPDATES/CLARIFICATIONS
Scouts taking Swimming, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Science, Astronomy, Cooking, Camping, First Aid, Search & Rescue, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Shotgun, Photography or Space Exploration will need to print, fill out and get the Merit Badge Prerequisite form completed. If for some reason you aren’t able to complete this prior to camp, a partial will be issued by Lost Valley.
Please make sure scouts bring their merit badge pamphlets and workbooks. In the least, scouts should have completely read the pamphlets and understand the material or have a list of questions ready for their merit badge sessions.
