Who We Are
Troop 1532 is a Scout's BSA Troop for boys sponsored by Little River United Church of Christ in Annandale, Virginia. We are conveniently located just west of I-495 on Little River Turnpike. We meet weekly at 7 pm on Mondays. Meetings are about 90 minutes long lasting until around 8:30 pm.
Mission Statement of Scouts BSA:
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
What We Do
During our weekly meetings, our troop keeps engaged in activities such as fire-building activities, planning future campouts, and end-of-meeting games. But more important is rank advancement, a key aspect of BSA. Rank advancement involves learning many new skills, like holding positions of leadership within the troop, learning how to tie knots, applying first aid, and other physically promoting activities to keep scouts in good shape.
