Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience where girls can have their share of adventure in the great outdoors. Develop a love of service by volunteering in your community, boost your leadership skills through fun and exciting challenges, and create memories of a lifetime with no prior Scouting experience required!
Character Development
The teaching of the scout oath and law as rules to live by form the basis for the program.
Citizenship Training
Volunteering for service hours develops a passion for helping others and helping the community.
Leadership Development
Teaching youth to develop leadership skills and technique that they can practice in their future life.
Mental and Physical Fitness
Develop self-confidence and an ability to understand that with effort, scouts can reach their goals.
Elected youth lead their troop and run the meetings with the guidance of the Scoutmaster and other adult leaders. Scouts BSA is a youth program planned mainly by the Scouts, not the parents. Girls serve 6 months terms of office, learn leadership skills, and grow in the responsibility in the troop structure. Adults serve as safety oversight, transportation, and a resource if needed.
Scouts typically meet once a week each Sunday 5-6:30 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Daphne, Alabama. Usually themed to move the advancement and skills forward. We strive to a monthly activity that can just be a day trip to a full week-long camping experience. All selected by the girls so they can delve into their interests and development needs.
