Military Family Fee Waiver
Your next Scouting adventure can begin with Troop 826
Military families give so much in service to our country, often sacrificing the stability and lasting connections that help young people feel at home. Scouting America and Simon Kenton Council are proud to give something back.
Effective June 1, 2026, eligible military families can register their youth with Troop 826 at no cost.
Troop 826 is a boy-led troop serving young men ages 11–17 in Reynoldsburg and the surrounding communities. We offer year-round opportunities for camping, outdoor adventure, leadership development, service, advancement, and friendship.
Who is eligible?
The fee waiver is available to new and returning youth members whose parent or guardian currently serves in:
Active-duty military
The National Guard
Active Reserves
The waiver applies to youth registration fees only. Adult volunteer registration fees still apply.
What does the waiver cover?
Eligible families receive:
The $85 Scouting America national youth registration fee waived
The Simon Kenton Council program fee waived
Together, these waivers reduce the eligible youth member’s registration cost to $0.

Once you are ready to register with Troop 826, you will complete your application online and verify your military service status.
How to claim the waiver
Use the registration link provided by Troop 826 and select Apply Now.
Select Get Military Discount Code.
Complete the brief military service verification.
Enter the national discount code you receive at checkout. The $85 national fee will be reduced to $0.
Enter the appropriate Simon Kenton Council code to waive the council program fee:
New Troop 826 members: MILITARYSKCNEW
Returning Troop 826 members: MILITARYSKC
The $85 fee may initially appear in your cart. This is expected—it will be reduced to $0 after the military discount code is applied.
