Today, generations of Scouts, parents, alumni, and volunteers continue building on that tradition—one campout, one service project, and one young man at a time.

THE BEGINNING
On August 26, 1996, Troop 826 was chartered by VFW Post 9473 with just twelve Scouts and a vision to build young men of character through Scouting.
GROWNING STRONG
As the troop grew, so did the opportunities. More Scouts, bigger adventures, stronger leadership, and traditions that would shape future generations.
SECOND GENERATION
A new generation of Scouts embraced the responsibility of leading those who followed. Older Scouts became mentors, traditions continued, and Troop 826's legacy grew stronger.
TODAY & BEYOND
Nearly three decades later, Troop 826 remains proudly Scout-led and adventure-focused, preparing young men for life through leadership, service, and unforgettable experiences.

Since 1996, VFW Post 9473 has provided Troop 826 with more than a meeting place. They have helped shape generations of young men by supporting Scouting's mission of leadership, citizenship, service, and character.
