Founded in Reynoldsburg in 1996 and proudly chartered by VFW Post 9473, Troop 826 has grown into a Scout-led troop where adventure, leadership, service, and lifelong friendships shape every Scout's journey.
Today, generations of Scouts, parents, alumni, and volunteers continue building on that tradition—one campout, one service project, and one young man at a time.

LEADERSHIP
Young men don't wait for leadership opportunities—they lead meetings, plan adventures, teach skills, and take responsibility.
ADVENTURE
The outdoors is our classroom. Every campout, hike, and expedition builds confidence, resilience, and unforgettable memories.
SERVICE
Giving back is part of every Scout's journey. Service teaches responsibility, gratitude, and commitment to our community.
BROTHERHOOD
Troop 826 is more than a place to camp. It becomes a second family where friendships last long after Scouting ends.
From a small group of twelve Scouts with a big dream to a thriving troop of
young men leading the way today - our journey is built on commitment,
character, and adventure.
THE BEGINNING
On August 26, 1996, Troop 826 was chartered by VFW Post 9473 with just twelve Scouts and a vision to build young men of character through Scouting.
GROWNING STRONG
As the troop grew, so did the opportunities. More Scouts, bigger adventures, stronger leadership, and traditions that would shape future generations.
SECOND GENERATION
A new generation of Scouts embraced the responsibility of leading those who followed. Older Scouts became mentors, traditions continued, and Troop 826's legacy grew stronger.
TODAY & BEYOND
Nearly three decades later, Troop 826 remains proudly Scout-led and adventure-focused, preparing young men for life through leadership, service, and unforgettable experiences.
Different years. Different adventures. The same commitment to building young men of character.
That's the Tradition of Troop 826.
Since 1996, VFW Post 9473 has provided Troop 826 with more than a meeting place. They have helped shape generations of young men by supporting Scouting's mission of leadership, citizenship, service, and character.
