Scouting is a fun activity that provides cool opportunities like ice climbing and dog sledding. It also helps you meet new people and spend time with your friends. Scouting is great if you like the outdoors and it isn’t much of a time commitment as you would think.
Scouting helps kids learn leadership skills and helps kids learn basic skills to help them become adults. Scouting is the perfect place for kids to learn about conservation, meet new people, and learn to enjoy the outdoors.
Let's talk about time.. Scouting is not a time intensive as people think. During the school year there are usually biweekly meetings and a few activities. Most troop activities slow down when school gets out.
Scouts can fit in other activities. We have high schoolers competing in state tournaments in hockey and swimming. Our middle schoolers are doing band, tennis, travel soccer and hockey, and we even have a competitive fencer.
