Minneapolis Troop 3089-B
Troop 3089 welcomes boys (5th grade and above) who are interested in adventure! We have a great troop based out of Christ the King in Minneapolis, MN. We do a variety of activities throughout the year including camping, service, and a variety of community activities. For example, last year our boys did the following:
2 community conservation projects supporting the Lynnhurst community: Buckthorn removal and mustard seed pull.
Merit badges focused on disability awareness, citizenship at the community and national level, cooking, and personal financial management
Winter day activities such as Ice climbing, ice fishing, sledding, and kick-sledding
4 weekend camp-outs across the state- we got to see buffalo calves, learned how to orienteer, rode bikes through a mile long hand hewn tunnel
1 week-long campout where the boys get to try climbing, archery, sailing, kayaking, and many other adventures
Philmont (a 12 day hiking trek through the New Mexico mountain range)
No experience in scouting is required and boys can join at any time.
