Scouting America Nation High Adventure Bases are available to us with advance planning. Slots fill up fast so generally scouts must make plans about 1 1/2 years in advance. These are opportunities of a lifetime for our scouts. Click on the logos to find out more!

Sea Base is a unique destination offering aquatic programs found nowhere else.. Whether your interests lie in sailing, scuba diving, rustic camping on an undeveloped barrier island, fishing, ocean kayaking or paddle boarding, Sea Base can offer a combination of all. It’s the ultimate maritime adventure!
Council and independent High Adventure Options are also available. Scouts can research options from any council in the USA and with consultation with troop leadership - outside of the US Borders. Below are some options - but there are many councils and outfitters across the country that offer high adventure trips.
The Retriever, a 52′ ketch, is an offshore sail training vessel where youth will learn the fundamentals of sailing, including sail trim, helmsmanship, navigation, marine safety and skills used by seasoned sailors!
Based in its home port of Mackinaw City, Michigan, the Retriever will call on harbors throughout the northern Great Lakes teaching valuable sailing skills along the way.
