Scouts wear the tan/olive uniform.
The Scouts BSA uniform consists of the following parts:
- Required Items
- Shirt—The official Tan uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves with olive shoulder loops and has button-flap pockets and “Boy Scouts of America” or "⚜ BSA" lettered in red above the right pocket.
- Belt—Official olive web belt with Scouts BSA belt buckle.
- Neckerchief—Troop Neckerchief or any other neckerchief of the Scouts's choice.
- Scouts BSA Handbook—The Handbook is considerd part of the uniform and the offical record of your Scout's advancement!
- Optional Items
- Pants or shorts or skort—Official olive green.
- Socks—Official socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee. Socks are olive green.
- Cap—Official olive cap bearing the BSA logo.
- Neckerchief slide—Official silver-tone metal slide with the BSA logo. Scouts may also wear handmade neckerchief slides.

The official Scouts BSA uniform can be ordered directly from the national Supply Division. Visit www.scoutshop.org to place an order.
Uniforms can also be ordered from the Transatlantic Council Program Supply Center. Visit the TAC Program Supply Center for more information.

Scouts BSA Field Uniform
The Scouts BSA Handbook is a great resource for each Scout. It contains all the requirements for rank advancement along with great information ona wide variety of topics that Scouts will be learning about such as Camping, Citizenship, Swimming, Serivce and many others. It also serves as the Scouts official advancement record and log for leadership time, service hours, camping nights and hiking miles.
