Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome back to school! This is a busy time of year full of anticipation and excitement in our school. There are a lot of changes within our district this year and we would invite you to also consider joining our organization. Last year the PTO sponsored many events. Some of the events were: The two book fairs, fun days for both the K-3 rd and 4-6 grades, birthday lunches, Staff Appreciation Day, scholarships for our graduating students, open recreation, “Trunk or Treat” and many more. This year we will be sponsoring several family activities; TV screen free week; father & daughter dance, & color run to name a few, and are looking for more feedback and suggestions to make our organization a successful one!
New members can bring new ideas--to become a member is easy. We hold meetings every month, typically the first Thursday. At our meetings we discuss future events and vote on what events we should do. If you have any questions or ideas that you want to share please come to a meeting and share it with us. To sign up all you have to do is complete the bottom portion of this form and pay the $2.00 membership dues. The $2.00 is a small fee which helps pay for our organization’s insurance.
We have our own phone extension at the school (845) 985-2296 ext. 4242 and e-mail tvpto@trivalleypto.org. We hope you can be involved in any way you can--if it’s just helping to bake, volunteering to chaperone our events, coming to a meeting or helping put up fliers. Even if you attend ONE meeting or give ONE hour of time it would be helpful. There are a lot of events we would like to do but membership is key—unless we have parents and teachers involved, our organization is limited in what we can do.
