C13 and Triton-9 are now one!
Triton-9 is a very large terrestrial planet that is capable of supporting thousands of different species due to its vast number of diverse biomes. It is about a similar size to the planet Saturn and has the same type of rings surrounding it. Its atmosphere is a light teal-green color like the blue hue of Earth. Its star is an M-Type Red Dwarf star. Triton has a total of 13 moons orbiting it. Triton-9 has a vast variety of biomes; the majority are bioluminescent.
this is a wip, new biomes will be added over time.

The sulfur pools of Triton are a bright blue-green color and the vegetation a vibrant orange. The plants themselves resemble coral structures with their wild uneven branches. These plants do not have leaves and are similar to cactus in the way they grow. The sulfur pools themselves are quite hot in temperature and, as such, usually avoided. Salt crystals are usually found here.

The Vibrodon almost exclusively lives in higher humidity climates such as the planet's many forested areas. The species has a lot of variations in color and features. They are a smaller species that live on this planet in respect to other species that live on it. The Vibrodon is a carnivorous species that live in rainforest-type areas on the planet. Ranging at a height of 10 feet and a staggering length of 30 feet, the small but long dinosaurs are Opportunistic hunters. All Vibrobons have a set of hole-like structures in their heads called Receptors. Using these, they can release a sonar-type vibration that can be heard for hundreds of miles and also be used as a weapon for prey or even in fights against others of its kind. The Vibrodons vary in color and live in packs of a 2 or 3 using there numbers to help overwhelm larger prey which normally consists of anything they can fit in their mouths.
Forest Nappers are the bigger of the 2 variants, measuring a height of 5' and a length of 7'. Forest Nappers live among the forested areas of Triton-9 and are a lot like their Desert counterpart when it comes to most of their looks. There are very big differences between the two asides from a few features and location of living. One of which is their venom. While the Desert venom is meant to kill, the Forest's venom is more meant for maiming. Their Venom can blind the enemy, and cause horrible burns to whatever it touches. The Forest Napper will more typically lean towards hunting, but they would never give up a free meal and save the energy for another day. Forest Nappers are very social and live in a family unit with the parents, children, and even sometimes grandchildren, although that's very rare. Working in these family units, the forest Nappers are more likely to go actively hunt a live creature, although they won't give up the chance to gorge on a nice nest of yummy eggs or even some berries now and again. Forest Nappers are also known to cooperate with other family packs to take down a beast well over 3 times their size and are even known to share the meal.
Desert Nappers are a species that live on the planet of Triton-9. Being the smaller of the 2 variants they measure at a height of 3 feet and a length of 6. Nappers are omnivorous creatures, munching on anything they can find from scraps of a corpse, fauna, and their favorite- eggs. They have many predators. Being the size they are, anything bigger than them can pose a threat. However That doesn't mean that the Nappers are defenseless. Nappers are equipped with massive, razor-sharp claws that can slice through the flesh and muscle of all who come across them. They also are venomous, they have small sacs in their neck that connect to the frill, they can eject said venom at their attacker through pore-like holes in the frill. With the Desert Nappers having the same venom potency as the Black Mamba- tiny but mighty.
Desert Nappers are solitary animals, coming together about once a year to mate. Males can mate every year, while Females only every other year Napper young are then raised by the mother alone for 6 months, learning how to hunt, how to fight, and how to survive. After that, the babies start to wander off to find their way, stragglers normally having to be kicked out of the nest by the mother. Desert Nappers are very aggressive, being relatively small in stature, they open their frill and let out a screeching hiss to warn anything willing to go toe to toe with this tiny demon.
The Titanous Serpentis are massive snakes. These snakes are VERY territorial. With their massive size, they very quickly rose to be the Apex predators, eating almost anything and everything with a heartbeat using their tails as a lure to get their meals. They use their tails as a lure for prey items. They are capable of swallowing things twice as large as they are. These Gigantic snakes are very solitary. The Titanous are semi-aquatic and abuse this ability to both dominate the land and sea. This, however, is most common in juveniles or very young adults. They don't reach their trademark massive size till they reach over 40 years of age. They hit maturity at 25 years. However, they are still relatively small at this stage. When it comes to the breeding season, however, the male snakes use their lure (which turns a bright red color and emits pheromones) to attract the attention of the females. They only come together once every 5-10 years to mate, the older snakes mating less than the younger ones. Fights happen during the breeding season, the males using their tremendous size to try and overpower the other, and using their fangs in battle is very common as well.
Paraplasmas are a very dangerous species to run across on Triton. They have heat vision and can and will relentlessly hunt you. The Paras are mid-sized predators. They are mainly sustained by blood, they are vampiric and have a split jaw to keep a better grip on their prey as they feed with their proboscis. The paras will, however, eat their victims after they suck them dry of blood. They are incredibly adapted to using this method of nutrition with their long claws, needle-like teeth, and split jaw. The name of the Paraplasmas derives from the root word parasite and the colorless part of the blood called plasma. The Paras are not very common since they do require a large population of prey to keep them sustained. They are nocturnal and will hunt only at night, so their thermal vision is at its best.
Volians are a small avian species native to Triton-9. They are omnivorous and only pick off already dead carcasses killed by larger predators. They commonly live in large forested biomes, not exclusively tropical. They are a very adaptable species in general and can survive in most climates. They are a smaller prey item for most of the Tritons population due to their abundance in most biomes, they are harder to catch due to their knack for staying in the high canopy of the forests they live in. They are much like Earth's seagulls though and can be tricked into coming down for food.
Phyknondrakes are semi-aggressive sea-dwelling mammals capable of breathing under the viscous water of Triton. Phyknons are similar to Earth's leopard seals in behavior towards other species. They are primarily found on tropical reefs closer to the equator of Triton, but are generally scattered over the entire planet. They are an elusive species, so not much is known yet. Phyknondrakes are not capable of flight as their thick wing-like flippers may suggest. They may be able to jump out of the water and glide a very short distance, but they will not glide for long due to their body weight.
Krivonae is a sentient species native to Triton-9. They are omnivorous. They are preferably carnivorous but will eat anything. They commonly live in high canopy forests that have plenty of room for tree huts, they prefer to build dwellings in trees to satiate their longing for heights. They will also build on mountains. They are a very adaptable species in general and can survive in most climates. The Krivonae are Triton-9's main sentient species, one of the only ones that make clothes and jewelry.
The Gob gob is a small frog-like animal solely meant to be a pet or companion to the other intelligent species on Triton. Gob Gobs are insectivores, primarily eating bugs. They come in a large assortment of colors. When the Gob Gob croaks it makes a "goob" sound, hence its cute name.
