Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Sign in with Apple, we may receive:

• Apple user identifier

• Email address (if shared by Apple)

• Authentication information necessary to create your account

Content You Provide

We may collect:

• Saved locations

• Trip itineraries

• Notes

• Destination preferences

• Images uploaded for place recognition

• URLs submitted for place extraction

• Text submitted for AI processing

Device Information

We may collect:

• Device type

• Operating system version

• App version

• Anonymous diagnostic information

Location Information

If you grant permission, Wayvio may access your location to improve maps and travel recommendations. Location access is optional and can be disabled in your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide travel planning features

• Save and synchronize trips

• Generate AI-powered itineraries

• Recognize places from images, links, and notes

• Improve app performance

• Prevent abuse and fraud

• Provide customer support

AI Processing

Wayvio uses artificial intelligence to:

• Detect travel locations from images

• Extract places from links and text

• Generate travel itineraries

To provide these features, user-submitted content may be processed by third-party AI providers. Data is processed only for the purpose of generating requested results and is not used to identify users.

Analytics

Wayvio does not use Facebook Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar advertising analytics services. Limited attribution information may be processed for Apple Search Ads measurement.

Payments

All purchases are processed by Apple through In-App Purchases. We do not collect or store your payment card information. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple.

Data Retention

We retain account and trip information only as long as necessary to provide the service. If you delete your account, associated server-side data will be permanently removed within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time:

Profile → Delete Account → Confirm

Deleting your account permanently removes associated data stored on our servers.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Wayvio is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted on this page.
