The TRIO Upward Bound program at the Anoka Ramsey Community College – Cambridge Campus offers area high school students opportunities to develop motivation and skills necessary to complete high school and enroll in post-secondary education following high school graduation. This is a free service provided by a federal grant. 

We serve Cambridge Isanti, Braham, St Francis, North Branch, Mora and Princeton High schools.

As a TRIO Upward Bound Student these are the services available to you:

• College application fee waivers (if applicable)

• Goal Setting

• Financial Literacy, Budgeting, Money Basics

• Tutoring- Homework help

• College Campus Visits

• Educational Field Trips

• Academic Advising

• Scholarship Information and Help

• Letters of Recommendation from your Advisors

• Accuplacer Information & Preparation

• FAFSA Information (help with completing/submitting)

• College and Career Exploration

• Studying and Test-taking tips

• Assistance with college applications and with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

• ACT mock (practice) test

• ACT fee waivers (if applicable) & ACT Preparation (workshops, resources, etc.)

• College Admission Assistance & Help with applications

• PSEO Assistance & Information

To be eligible for TRIO Upward Bound:

1. Be a potential first-generation college student (custodial parent[s] have not received a four-year degree) and/or

2. Meet Upward Bound income guidelines (Income qualifications are based on household size & taxable income)

3. Be motivated to go to college after high school

• After Review Accepted, Waitlisted, or Denied from Program

• If accepted, begin 60-Day Probationary Period (Trial-Run) with Upward Bound Program
