So you have your degree, now what? Many of you will have a job while attending college, and many of you will be looking for careers as you graduate. There are many ways you can prepare for the interview and job application process to get familiar, comfortable, and confident in yourself!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens October 1st every year* and students will need to complete/submit the application to be considered for financial aid (grants and federal student loans).
To get started, create a FSA ID. This will be your lifetime username and password to complete the FAFSA. If you ever forget your username and password, you can reset it with your phone number, email, or challenge questions.

There are many scholarships available for students. Be sure to check with employers, school counselors/career centers, local businesses, etc. to see if they have anything to offer. Also, check your colleges website for additional scholarship applications! Remember you can keep applying for scholarships even once you are enrolled in college! Have you taken or considering taking College in the Schools (CIS) or PSEO courses and wondering whether they transfer? A great tool to help get you started is Transferology. You can create a free account and look up available transfer statuses for some schools.
We partner with a local organization called Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. (CMJTS). CMJTS is a nonprofit employment and training agency and a proud partner in the Minnesota CareerForce System. Workforce excellence is CENTRAL in all they do. They provide awesome resources and opportunities for all members of your family who may need assistance.
