INFORMAL English Country Dances
Many wear dresses, skirts, and blouses. Jeans and shorts are allowed.
Please wear modest attire.
1. Spaghetti straps (straps less than an inch wide) must be worn with a t-shirt underneath.
2. Cleavage may not be exposed at any time.
3. Skirts and shorts (shorts worn without a skirt over them) must be the length of your longest fingertip when your arms are held straight down against the body.
4. Jeans are allowed at Informal Dances.
5. No Strapless.
6. No midriffs exposed. The hem of your top must cover you at all times.
- Footwear: DO NOT wear stiletto type heels as they pock the gym floor. You may wear block and wedge type heels. Always bring (or wear) sneakers to change into.
FORMAL English Country Dances:
Your best dress up! Many wear ballgowns, old prom dresses, but your Sunday best will do!
Please wear modest attire.

4 Lessons and a Dance Dress Code:
For the 4 Lessons:
Please wear comfortable athletic type wear: jeans, shorts or skirts (wear shorts beneath any skirt or dress--there are lots of spins and dips in many of the dances).
For the Final Dance:
Sunday Best or Party Dress
Please wear modest attire. Wear a modest neckline, no strapless, body con, cleavage baring or skirt length that is more than 2 inches above the knee or short shorts. Wear comfortable shoes! We encourage you to wear or bring sneakers.
Gentlemen's Dress Code:
Gentlemen's Dress Code:
INFORMAL English Country Dances
Collared shirt (Hawaiian, golf, etc…). Jeans and shorts are allowed.
Sneakers are best. No flip-flops or slides.
FORMAL English Country Dances:
Minimum: shirt, tie, and khakis. Many gentlemen wear suits and ties. We've even seen some top hats and tails! It's all in the spirit of "formal wear" (your best dress up).
Bring or wear sneakers.
4 Lessons and a Dance Dress Code:
For the 4 Lessons:
Wear comfortable, athletic type wear: jeans or shorts.

For the Final Dance:
Shirt, Tie, and Khakis. Many wear suits.
