Run Training Sessions
1. Friday Morning Brick Ride+Run - early morning bike hill repeats followed by run around the Palace.
2. Ikego Track Training Sessions (Zushi) - TnT members living in the Zushi area meet irregularly for a track session. Use the Contact Us page for more information. You can find out if the track is free by checking the online schedule.
3. Namban Training Sessions - become a member of Namban Rengo international running club and you can join their Wednesday track intervals and Saturday hill repeats.
4. Parkrun - information on how to do your first Parkrun, as well as the virtual events (not)parkrun and Freedom parkrun.
5. The Monthly Marathons (Kanagawa) - regular running events organised by "Kanagawa Running Centre". There are 4 distances: 1km, 3km, 5km, 10km. You can do all four events to complete the longest distance of 19km (20km in Yokohama). 1,500 yen paid on the day for first timers, 1,000 yen each time thereafter. There are three events: the Shonan Monthly Marathon along the coastal path from Enoshima to Chigasaki; the Yokohama Monthly Marathon in Shin-Yokohama Park behind Yokohama Arena; the Kawasaki Monthly Marathon (English pamphlet) on Furuichiba cinder track by the Tama River. All events have English information.
6. Akabane Trial - another regular timed running event near Shin-Arakawa Ohashi bridge. There are various distances up to full marathon, all run on a 2.5 km course. Entry is up to 10 days before on Sports Entry.

1. Training Wizard - plug in your target distance, pace, etc., and you you can view a training plan from "runbritain".
2. Hal Higdon - a range of free training plans for a range of distances and levels. Choose your distance and level, and then scroll down the page for a printable training plan (in both miles and kilometres).
3. Marathon Training Plans - plans for a range of target times from Runner's World
4. Vdot Table - with a recent time for a certain run/race distance (1500m, 3000m, 5k, 10k, half and full marathon), you can get an estimated time for the other distances. The table also gives recommended training paces for Zones 1 to 5.
5. Pace Calculator - input your target time for any race distance and see the required pace.
6 Time Calculator - adds up your splits to give you your cumulative time.
7. Run Workouts - common run workouts explained by Runner's World: Fartlek; Tempo; Intervals; Speed; Hills

1. Namban Rengo - Tokyo's international running club has lots of information on their website, including a map or running resources.
2. Running Stations - information on "running stations" which have lockers, showers, and changing facilities for runners in Tokyo and elsewhere in Japan. Some also cater for cyclists.
3. Samurai Sports running guides - Tokyo Imperial Palace; Yokohama
4. Runtrip - information for runners, including a searchable database of running courses (in Japanese, requires simple registration to view maps)
5. Tokyo Running Maps - routes around Adidas RUNBASE
6. Japan Running News - "The world's window into elite Japanese distance running", by Namban member, Brett Larner; includes information top 25 marathons in Japan
