Who is Triangle Guy?
Well I'm glad you asked.
When my daughters were very young, I stunk at drawing.
But I wanted to be able to draw them things, faces or characters that would make them smile.
I bought a book on how to draw Mickey & Friends and failed miserably.
Then, somewhere in the deep recesses of my brain, the idea hit me. I drew a triangle, gave him stick legs, stick arms, and goofy look and, of course, a hat. And Triangle Guy was born.
Along the way, he got shoes. Sometimes even laces if I was feeling powerful. I learned he could easily be angry or excited by adding eyebrows.
Getting him to hold things was difficult. But sometimes he'd have random items pasted to his hands. Ninja swords, flowers, you know the usual stuff.
But the best part, is that he'd show up everywhere. He routinely appeared on notes I wrote to put in their school lunches. The girls drew him in chalk drawings on the driveway. When we tore up our kitchen floor, we drew a GIANT Triangle Guy on the sub floor.
Triangle Guy came to Disney World with us, he wore Mickey ears and would appear in the honey wall at the Winnie The Pooh ride, or the Lego store.
Now that the girls are older, I still stink at drawing, but they have fond memories of Triangle Guy, and he still shows up in the most random places!
