For all the Tri-Point artists, please enjoy creating art and crafts while you are at home. I would love to see all the awesome art you made. Send me photos of you creations to my e-mail. I will be sure to show off your wonderful art on this website under the tab "Tri-Point Art Gallery" to inspire other art friends.

I will post assignments for you but please don't limit yourself. You can go to YouTube, Pinterest, 5 minute crafts, and more to find something fun and interesting to make. Let me know if you have any questions or looking for art supplies. I would love to assist you any way I can. Check out the "Art Ideas to Try" and the "Contest Info" tabs on this web page, too!!

Week of May 4

4th to 8th grade students - " Birdhouse on the Tree"

Draw a birdhouse on the tree using techniques that you have been practicing. Draw light until you know it's right!
Follow the steps 1 to 4 (examples are showing below)

1. Determine how big the birdhouse will be by drawing a box and draw lines to show directions of the tree branches.

Draw the birdhouse and tree branches using the box and lines you drew for guidance.

3. Erase the unwanted guidelines. Add the leaves and birds.

4. Shade and add details of the birdhouse, trees, and birds.

Use a variety of lines; thin & thick, short & long, curvy & straight lines
In this video, the artist uses Q-tip and shaved pencil lead to add values.
Different values: use light, mid, and dark values : more you practice shading, you get better at it!

**Add some items and background to make it your own landscape drawing.

**Color it if you want. Have fun!!

4th to 8th grade students - "How to draw scenery "

Draw a scene using techniques that you have been practicing. Draw light until you know it's right!
Follow the steps 1 to 4 (examples are showing below)

1. Determine how big the house and island will be by drawing a box and ellipse

3. Erase the unwanted guide lines. Add the horizontal line and hills on the background.

4. Shade and add details of the house, trees, and background.

Trees - use different directions of short lines for the leaves.

Different values: use light, mid, and dark values : more you practice shading, you get better at it!

**Add some items; people, boat, fish, imaginary creature, etc, to make it your own landscape drawing.

The Jr. High is using the 3D printer to make mask extenders and other supplies for medical staff. If you make a card and send me a picture of it, we'll share it on the web art gallery and with the medical staff locally.

4th to 8th grade students " Daffodil"

Draw a daffodil using techniques that you have been practicing. Draw light until you know it's right!
Follow the steps 1 to 4 (examples are showing below)

1. Determine how big the flower will be by drawing a box

2. use ellipses for the flower parts before you draw the petals

3. draw the contour line (outline) of petals
