Outside the classroom, my life as a student midwife is rich with diverse interests and activities that nurture my mind, body, and soul. My deep love for herbs and plants is evident in my collection of over 20 plants that I tend to with great care. I enjoy hiking, which allows me to immerse myself in nature, and I practice yoga daily to maintain balance and mindfulness.
Art is a significant part of my life; I have a profound appreciation for theater, poetry, and music. I love attending live music performances whenever possible. The beach is another sanctuary for me, and I visit as often as I can, sometimes even daily. My life is enriched by a large and dependable support system, which is crucial for my dedication to people of color and all things reproductive justice.
I am deeply passionate about philosophy, interpersonal relationships and human connection, which fuels my commitment to understanding and supporting others. Community involvement is a cornerstone of my life. I regularly volunteer for causes such as homelessness, littering and cleaning efforts, neonatal care, feminine health, and postpartum indigenous care. This dedication to service ensures that I am always connected to my rich cultural and familial history.
