# Privacy Policy — TreeView : Disk Space Tracker

This Privacy Policy describes how **TreeView : Disk Space Tracker** ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is developed and published by Mitul Donda ("the Developer").

By using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

## 1. What the App does

TreeView : Disk Space Tracker scans the files and folders stored on your Android device and shows you how your storage space is divided — as a folder tree and as visual charts. It also lets you delete files and folders you choose, to free up space.

## 2. Information we do NOT collect

We built the App to work entirely on your device. Specifically:

- All file scanning and analysis happens **locally on your device**. The names, paths, sizes and contents of your files are **never uploaded, transmitted, or shared** with us or anyone else.

- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, messages, or any file contents.

- We do not require you to create an account.

- The App works fully offline. An internet connection is only used if you open external links (such as this policy) or, in future versions, for advertising (see Section 5).

## 3. Permissions the App uses and why

- **All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):** Required so the App can measure the size of every folder on your device storage and display an accurate storage map. This permission is used **only** to read file names, sizes, and folder structure for on-device analysis, and to delete the files **you explicitly choose** to delete. Nothing read through this permission ever leaves your device.

## 4. Information stored on your device

The App stores a small settings file on your device (inside the App's private folder). It contains only:

- whether you accepted the Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy, and

- your app preferences (for example light or dark theme).

This file is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.

## 5. Advertising (future versions)

The current version of the App does not show ads. A **future update may include advertising**, for example Google AdMob.

If and when ads are added:

- Our advertising partners (such as Google) may collect and process certain device information to show and measure ads. This can include your device's **advertising ID**, IP address, approximate (coarse) location derived from IP, device model, and general app usage signals related to ad delivery.

- Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you will be able to choose non-personalized ads instead.

- You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

We will update this Privacy Policy before any advertising is enabled.

## 6. File deletion

Delete features in the App permanently remove files from your device at your request. Deletion happens locally; we have no copy of, access to, or way to recover deleted files. Please review carefully before deleting — see the Terms & Conditions for your responsibilities.

## 7. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If ads are added in the future, we will configure ad serving in line with applicable children's privacy requirements.

## 8. Data security

Since your data never leaves your device, the main security consideration is your own device's security. The App's settings file is stored in the App's private storage area, which other apps cannot normally access.

## 9. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to export or erase on our side. Uninstalling the App removes everything the App stored. If you have questions about privacy, contact us using the details below.

## 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example when advertising is introduced). The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App.
