How to Navigate Attorney Online’s files and folders:
Mounted folder: (The folder that houses all of your files)
In this folder we can see the “base” folder where the main files are. Located here is also your Attorney Online application file.
Your Attorney Online file should look relatively similar to this. There may some changes based on version but for all intents and purposes this should suffice.
base Folder: (The folder that houses all the game’s files and textures)
Inside this folder we are met with a few selections. We’ll take a look at them 1 at a time to understand where Attorney Online’s files are.
In the base folder is your serverlist.txt document.
Serverlist.txt is where you can save, edit, or add IPs to your Favorites list. Very useful for reaching private servers.
Background Folder: (Where the files for courtroom backgrounds are)
Inside this folder you should see every background folder you download for servers.
Without a background you will be met with default backgrounds or spooky errors!
Let’s take a peek at one of these background folders.
Here you can see all the parts that make up your everyday courtroom. You can see everything from the Defense and Prosecution benches to the backgrounds for each part of the room. Custom server files and custom backgrounds replace these parts to create interesting settings. Including animations with GIF files!
Characters Folder: (where the textures and images for your characters are!)
Inside this folder is a subset of character folders. Each of these folders hold the characters themselves. (For more info on custom character creation visit the tutorial here)
Character folders can come in a few distinct shapes and sizes.
Here is an example of the standard character format:
holdit , objection , takethat : Are all the sound files used for their sfx respectively. These are .WAV files and are small and easy to work with. They can be changed for custom sound effects.
Character.ini: char.ini
This file can be opened with notepad and contains all the code for your character.

Emotions folder: (Contains the buttons used to select what character animation to use)
Evidence Folder: This often under utilised folder contains images used for presenting evidence. Custom evidence can be added for trials and RPs to spice things up and add some flavor!

Misc. Folder: this folder has all the miscellaneous files for your Attorney Online.
This folder contains a lot of small stuff in it. Some of these files can be customized and changed around to theme your client directly. Some of them should be left alone.
Those are really the only things to highlight here. And the bizarre полоски Russian text from a bygone age. Where did it come from? What’s the mystery behind it? What history!
demothings: This folder contains the character select images you see when picking a character. It contains both “chosen” and “not chosen” options
Sounds folder: The folder that contains Attorney Online’s music and sfx files.
General contains all the sfx for character emotes. .WAV format
Music contains the music. .MP3 Format
Pretty straight forward.
Themes folder: It’s a folder for client themes.
