Convinced by the letters of his bowling partner Lawrence, a bowling-loving cyborg 42UR3 visits a renovated Bowlerville where Marcus the Magician takes the name of the location too literally and made therianthropes with bowling equipment characteristics live there.
The Reimagined Bowlerville is a story about a village called Bowlerville, which is built by a magician called Marcus on top of a death valley of the same name, and where anthro animals called the Bowling Beasts have the characteristics of bowling equipment.
The main characters who are also friends, 42UR3 and Lawrence, originally weren't residents of this new Bowlerville. Lawrence is first invited by Marcus to live in Bowlerville because of his passion in bowling, then 42UR3 decided to join after reading about Bowlerville in Lawrence's letters.
In Bowlerville, 42UR3 and Lawrence are responsible for looking after their bowling beasts. Lawrence was in Bowlerville for quite a while now so besides of Hermes the Bowling Ball Beetle he also manages a group of pin beasts called the Tumblers, but 42UR3 is still a starter and could only have one ball beast, which is Neil the Bowling Ball Snail. Later, 42UR3 would form his team of pin beasts like Lawrence.
Each pin beast has a different personality, from hobbyists who enjoy being knocked over by ball beasts to competitive brutes who pride in being "The Ones Standing", and so does the ball beasts, from those just wanting to have fun to those who are very competitive.
The Reimagined Bowlerville might look like a silly old sports fantasy comedy in the surface, but under the surface the comic is also a slice-of-life that features substantial lore of the characters, and the comic sometimes would delve into more serious topics like conflicts between members of a team, being different from others, the effects on stress on a person's performance, and what makes competition fun and healthy.
Most of the time, The Reimagined Bowlerville is a light-hearted, cheery concept aimed for everyone to be able to enjoy. However, as fantasy violence inevitably exists in this concept, some parental guidance MIGHT be required for individuals who cannot separate make-believe and reality yet.
If you want to learn more about the characters of this concept, you can head to the Characters page and view them all! An About The World section is also coming soon, so stay tuned!
This project is NOT intended to be educational. I'm part of no professional bowling committees such as the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America nor the United States Bowling Congress myself, I'm just a silly amateur bowling hobbyist who loves the idea of bowling equipment coming to life as anthro furries, so any discussions of strategies used by the ball beasts in the comic should be taken with a grain of salt.
