Retrofitting for Resilience
The Transportation Research Board Committee on Landscape & Environmental Design (AFB40) held its 2017 mid-year meeting in Hartford, CT on August 6-9, 2017. Delois Barnes, ASLA, Transportation Landscape Designer and her colleagues with the Connecticut Department of Transportation developed an exciting and educational agenda for the meeting.
The 2017 mid-year meeting “Retrofitting for Resilience” focused on educational sessions, case study presentations and site reviews of exemplary projects in the Connecticut area. An interesting and informative day of educational presentations was held on Monday, August 7th with site reviews of local transportation projects on Tuesday August 8th.
