The 2016 Landscape and Environmental Design Committee meeting was held July 24 - 28, 2016 at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The meeting focused on the committee’s role in TRB, the development of a strategic plan to meet our commitments to TRB, as well as finding the perfect place within the committee structure that will meet each member's personal and professional goals. The work of the meeting included setting in place a committee structure, individual roles and responsibilities and schedules to meet our mission to promote research with design parameters that relate to protecting, conserving, restoring, and enhancing safe, sustainable, and livable transportation systems, facilities, and their associated environments. The AFB40, working with other TRB Committees and allied organizations, is uniquely poised to meet this challenge.
