Membership
The AJE20 membership is a diverse group of transportation professionals in both the public and private sectors who are working to advance performance management in their organizations and agencies. The committee thrives on having active volunteers and engaged members and "friends" to provide support, effective practices, and resources to others interested in performance management initiatives. Standing Committee & Task Force Member Guide is available on TRB's website.
If you are interested in getting involved with the committee, a great first step is to become a friend of the committee through MyTRB. According to TRB, a “friend of a committee” is someone who can attend committee meetings and participate in the same activities as committee members. In addition, friends who actively contribute to committee activities may be considered for membership. Examples of committee activities include:
Exchange information about best practices, professional development, networking, and mentoring.
Peer review papers for the TRB Annual Meeting.
Peer review papers for the Transportation Research Record.
Plan lectern and poster sessions at the TRB Annual Meeting.
Author or contribute to TRB publications.
Plan TRB webinars.
Draft research needs statements and problem statements for TRB projects.
Hold committee meetings at the TRB Annual Meeting.
Plan specialty conferences
Becoming a friend will add you to the list to receive newsletters, invitations to committee meetings, and other communications throughout the year. We would love to have you be a part of this group to contribute your talents and share your interests. Detailed instructions on becoming a friend of the committee using MyTRB are included below.

COMMUNICATIONS UPDATES
We’d like to share a few communications updates with TRB AJE20 members and friends. The committee has fully transitioned to using the MyTRB vehicle instead of an email distribution list for non-urgent communications. Please use MyTRB as a primary tool for managing your status as a Friend of AJE20, as this is the primary source for sending information to members and friends and soliciting assistance for committee activities. Please sign up as a friend through MyTRB with the instructions below.
