Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Travel Journal mobile application (the "App") and any related web pages operated by Breengy (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. 

1. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service and meet the minimum age required in your country. See our Privacy Policy for details on children's privacy.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at traveljournal.dev@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. 

You may sign in using email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. 

3. Your Content

You own the journal entries, text, photos, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you in order to operate the Service, for example generating your PDF exports and displaying your journals to you.

We do not access, use, or share Your Content for any purpose other than operating the Service, except as described in our Privacy Policy or where required by law.

Your journals are private to your account. If you choose to share Your Content with others, for example by sending an exported PDF, you decide who receives it, and content shared outside the Service remains your responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content, including confirming you have the right to upload it, such as photos you did not personally take.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, upload content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable law, attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, or use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play, through our billing partner RevenueCat. Pricing, billing cycles, automatic renewals, and cancellations are governed by the respective store's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings. We do not process or store your payment details ourselves.

6. PDF Export and Sharing

The Service allows you to generate a PDF of your journal that you can save or share using your device's sharing options. We do not currently offer physical printing or mail-order delivery of any product.

We may add new sharing features in the future. If we do, these Terms and our Privacy Policy will describe how they work before they become available.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings within the App, or through our Account and Data Deletion page. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is deleted and what is retained.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers, including Google and Firebase for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play, whichever you used to install the App. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that all data will be preserved without loss.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Breengy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. 

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. 

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. 

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable European Union law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
