This Privacy Policy explains how Breengy collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Travel Journal mobile application (the "App") and any related web pages we operate (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Breengy is the data controller responsible for your personal data processed through the Service.

We collect information about which screens and features you use, such as screen views and button taps, to understand how the App is used and to improve it. These analytics events do not include your diary content or other free text you write.

2.4 Push notification token

If you enable push notifications, we collect a device token used to deliver notifications to your device.

2.5 Subscription information

Subscriptions and payments are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not see or store your card number, billing address or other payment details. We only receive your subscription status, which we link to your account so we can unlock Premium features.

2.6 Information we do not collect

We do not collect precise device or GPS location. We do not collect physical shipping addresses, since the App produces a downloadable and shareable PDF only and does not offer a physical print or mail-order product today. We do not collect payment card numbers or billing details ourselves.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to create and maintain your account, store and let you access, edit, and export your diary content, operate core App features such as photo storage and PDF generation, send you push notifications you have opted into, understand feature usage and improve the App, communicate with you including product and marketing emails as described in Section 4, and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with trusted service providers that help us run the App, such as hosting and storage, analytics and crash reporting, subscription management and email delivery. These providers are obliged to keep your information confidential.

We use your email address to send you important account messages and, from time to time, news about the App, new features and special offers. If you no longer wish to receive these updates, you can unsubscribe using the link in any email or by contacting us at traveljournal.dev@gmail.com. 

5. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the App.
You can also request deletion without the App installed; see our Account and Data Deletion page.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile and account credentials, your diaries, diary entries and photos, and your generated PDFs.
Deletion is completed immediately, residual copies that may remain in backups or service-provider logs are removed within 30 days.

If you believe any of your data was not removed, contact us at traveljournal.dev@gmail.com and we will complete the deletion.

If you have no App account but were previously contacted through our email messaging provider, contact us at traveljournal.dev@gmail.com to request removal. 

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at traveljournal.dev@gmail.com.

7. Data Security

We use industry standard measures, including those provided by our infrastructure providers, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including by our infrastructure and email providers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice such as an in-app notice or email.
