Trapped in the Old Parrish House

Welcome to Trapped in the Old Parrish House, a virtual escape room! This escape room was designed by Alivia Walsh of the Cuyahoga Falls Library and adapted as an interactive website by Angela Fioramonti of the Cuyahoga Falls Library. It is intended primarily for 3rd-5th graders, though all ages should feel free to enjoy! Before you begin, here are a few tips and tricks!

  1. Get a pen and paper to write down the clues you come across.

  2. Some of your clicks will open a link in a new tab. If the new tabs get overwhelming, feel free to close out of some of them.

  3. While you CAN play this game via a mobile device (phone or tablet), it is probably best suited to a desktop computer or a laptop.

  4. You should never have to guess at an answer. Take another look at your clues, or explore the room further - you might not have everything you need.

  5. The purple rectangles are clickable - use them to navigate through the room!

  6. Teachers! If you are planning to use this in your classroom and would like a walkthrough in case you get stuck, please email us at mail@cuyahogafallslibrary.org

  7. Good luck!

It's a dark and stormy night...

You and your friends are walking home when you pass the old, abandoned Parrish house. Rumor has it that twenty years ago, a 12-year-old boy named Alan Parrish went missing, and his ghost now haunts the house. Your friend triple dog dares you to go in alone and steal something that belonged to Alan Parrish.

You can't just ignore a triple-dog dare. What do you do?
