## 1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Voice Translator: Live AI (the “App,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the App.

The App does not require an account. Translation history, conversation history, language preferences, and your AI data-sharing choice are stored locally on your device. Some translation features require content you choose to submit to be processed by Google LLC’s Google Cloud services, as explained below.

## 2. Information the App handles

### Content you choose to submit

Depending on the feature you use, the App handles:

- text you type or paste;

- text extracted from an image;

- photos or images you take or select for optical character recognition (OCR);

- voice recordings you deliberately make for speech recognition;

- text submitted for generated spoken audio;

- resulting translations, transcriptions, and recognized text.

This content may contain personal information if you include personal information in it. Do not submit sensitive information that is not necessary for your translation request.

### Local app data

The App stores the following on your device:

- translation and conversation history;

- source and target language preferences;

- subscription-status cache; and

- your AI data-sharing consent choice and the date/version of that choice.

### Security and transaction information

- Firebase App Check processes app and device-integrity tokens and related technical request information to protect the cloud functions from abuse.

- Apple processes purchases and subscription information. The App receives product and entitlement information needed to provide premium access but does not receive your full payment-card details.

- Cloud requests necessarily include technical network information, such as an IP address, that service providers use to deliver and secure the request.

## 3. How and why information is collected

Content is collected directly from you only when you deliberately type, paste, record, capture, or select it and request a translation, OCR, speech-recognition, or spoken-audio feature. The App uses that content only to provide the feature you requested, display the result, maintain local history, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service failures.

The App does not sell your submitted content, use it for third-party advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

## 4. AI and cloud processing

Before any user-submitted text, photo, image, or voice recording is transmitted for cloud processing, the App displays an in-app disclosure and asks for your explicit permission.

If you agree, the App sends the minimum content needed through our secured Google Firebase backend to Google LLC’s Google Cloud services:

- **Google Cloud Translation:** text for language detection and translation;

- **Google Cloud Vision:** selected or captured images for OCR;

- **Google Cloud Speech-to-Text:** voice recordings for transcription; and

- **Google Cloud Text-to-Speech:** text for generation of spoken audio.

If you choose “Not Now,” this content is not sent and the cloud features that require it remain unavailable. You may grant permission later when using a cloud feature.

Google Cloud processes the content and technical request information under Google’s applicable terms, privacy notices, and data-processing commitments. We require service providers that receive user data to protect it to the same or an equivalent level described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law.

## 5. Consent and withdrawal

You can withdraw consent at any time in the App:

**Settings → Data Management → AI Data Sharing → Withdraw Consent**

Withdrawal stops future user content from being sent to Google Cloud. Cloud translation, photo translation, voice recognition, and cloud-generated speech will remain unavailable unless you grant consent again. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was completed before withdrawal.

Camera, photo-library, and microphone access can also be changed in the iOS or iPadOS Settings app.

## 6. Storage, retention, and deletion

- Translation history, conversation history, preferences, and the consent choice remain locally on your device until you clear them, remove the App, or reset the device.

- You can delete local translation history using **Settings → Clear Translation History**. Conversation content can be cleared from the conversation screen.

- Temporary voice files created by the App are deleted after processing or cancellation. The App does not intentionally retain submitted photos, voice recordings, or text in a developer-operated database.

- Firebase Functions pass submitted content to the requested Google Cloud API and return the result. We do not intentionally persist that content in a separate server-side content database.

- Google Cloud may process and retain service data as described in its applicable terms and data-processing documentation.

Because the App has no user accounts and does not intentionally maintain a server-side content database, we generally cannot identify previously processed content as belonging to a particular person. You may contact us with privacy or deletion questions using the address below.

## 7. Permissions

- **Camera:** lets you take a photo whose visible text you want recognized and translated.

- **Photo library:** lets you select an existing image for OCR and translation.

- **Microphone:** lets you deliberately record speech for transcription and translation.

The App requests these permissions only for the related feature. You control them through the device’s Settings app.

## 8. Data security

We use safeguards designed to protect information in transit and prevent unauthorized cloud requests, including encrypted network connections, Firebase callable functions, Firebase App Check, and access-controlled cloud credentials. No security measure can guarantee absolute security.

## 9. International processing

Google Cloud and Apple may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Their processing is governed by their applicable terms, privacy notices, and international-transfer safeguards.

## 10. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us.

## 11. Apple services and subscriptions

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions under Apple’s Privacy Policy: `https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/`. Subscription management and payment details are controlled by Apple and the user’s Apple ID settings.

## 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, service providers, or legal requirements. We will update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects the content shared with an AI service or the purpose of processing, the App will request consent again before future sharing.
