九八.十字手
(一).由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣,身右轉,右腳不動,左腳尖扣向南,雙掌交叉下落,隨身右轉雙摟,面東南,如圖291。
Posture 98. Cross-shaped hands
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Turn the body towards the right, and keep the right foot motionless while turning the toes of the left foot inward towards the south. Cross both palms and drop them downward, doing a double pull [lǒu] as the body turns right. Face the southeast, as in Figure 291.

(二). 由前式鬆腰左腳不動,右腳後移至左腳旁再向西横開一步踏實,然後左腳內移成自然步。同時兩掌向左右分開,向上向前劃圓弧朝裹合,交叉於胸前,氣沉丹田,目前視,如圖292。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and keep the left foot motionless while the right foot shifts back until it is beside the left foot. Then, step the right foot horizontally to take one solid step open towards the west. After that, shift the left foot inward to end in a natural stance. At the same time, separate both palms to the left and right, moving them up and forward to draw a circular arc, folding them to close in front of the chest with the arms crossed. Sink the Qi to the Dantian and look forward, as in Figure 292.
