九七.如封似閉
(一).由前式鬆腰,兩腳不動,徐徐吸氣,後坐右腿,身右擰,右拳變掌向後抽,左掌由右小臂下面沿外側前剌,至兩腕相交,如圖288。隨前式身右轉,兩掌隨身右擰向後双[扌+履],收置腰之兩側成陽掌,面南[should be東], 目前視,如圖289。

(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and keep both feet motionless. Sit back on the right leg and twist the body towards the right. Change the right fist to a palm and pull it backwards, with the left palm slashing forward under the outside of the right forearm until the two wrists are crossed, as in Figure 288. Continuing from the previous movement, turn the body towards the right and do a double rollback [lǚ], withdrawing both hands as Yang palms at the sides of the waist. Look forward and face the east, as in Figure 289.

(二).由前式鬆腰旋身向左轉正,右腿蹬開成左弓步,同時雙掌由胸前翻成陰掌,提至口之兩側,然後頂頭塌腰,沉肩墜肘,兩掌向前按平,氣沉丹田以貫注兩掌,面對東北,目視兩掌,如圖290。
(2) Continuing from the previous movement, relax the waist and rotate the body to turn towards the left. Begin to push through the right leg to end in a left bow stance. At the same time, flip both hands to Yin palms in front of the chest and then lift them to both sides of the mouth. After that, push through the crown of the head and settle down into the waist. Sink the shoulders and drop the elbows. Push both palms forward [at shoulder] level. Sink the Qi to the Dantian, and then concentrate [the Qi] into both palms. Look at both palms and face the northeast, as in Figure 290.
