七二. 左右搬攔
(一).由前式徐徐吸氣,坐右腿,身右轉面東南。同時右手向後平伸,両手比成陽掌,目顧右掌,如圖220。
Posture 72. Left, Right Deflect and Parry
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, slowly inhale and sit on the right leg. Turn the body towards the right to face the southeast. At the same time, stretch the right hand backward at [shoulder level], with both hands ending in Yang palms. Look at the right palm, as in Figure 220.

(二).由前式身左轉向東北,蹬右腿成左弓步,右掌從右向上向左前方变陰掌下按,與左陽掌上下相合抢球状,徐徐沉氣,目視雙掌,面對東北,如圖221。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, turn the body towards the left to face the northeast. Push through the right leg to end in a left bow stance [gōng bù]. Move the right plam from the right, going upward and to the front left direction, changing [the right palm] to a Yin palm that is pressing [àn] downward. [The right palm] is positioned over the left palm [as if] holding a sphere. Slowly sink the Qi and look at both palms. Face the northeast, as in Figure 221.

(三).由前式徐徐吸氣,先坐右腿身右轉向南,扣左腳,兩掌隨身轉向右前搬推,面對南方,目視雙掌,如圖222。
(3) [Continuing] from the previous movement, slowly inhale and at first sit on the right leg. [Then], turn the body towards the right to face south and turn the left foot inward. As the body turns towards the right, both hands deflect [bān] and push [tuī] towards the right. Look at both hands and face the south, as in Figure 222.

(四).由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣,身左擰,坐左腿下蹲,順直右腳對南方成右虛步。同時右手下落成陽掌,左手下按成陰掌。右小臂向下攔壓,右肘與左膝盖相合,左掌置左膝外側,徐徐沉氣,面東南,目視右掌,如圖223。
(4) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Twist the body towards the left and sit to squat down on the left leg. Arrange the right foot to face directly south, ending in a right empty stance [xū bù]. At the same time, drop the right hand to end in a Yang palm, and push downward with the left hand using a Yin palm. Use the right forearm to block [lán] and press [yà] downward. The right elbow should match [in line] with the left knee, and the left palm should be positioned over the outside of the left knee. Slowly sink the Qi. Look at the right palm and face the southeast, as in Figure 223.
