卅七. 左分腳
(一). 由前式坐左腿, 身左後轉, 左手隨[扌+履]向左後方, 面對西北, 如圖110。(動作與右分腳同, 惟左右相反。)
Posture 37. Separate Left Foot
(1) Continuing] from the previous movement, sit on the left leg and turn the body back towards the left. [As the body turns], rollback [lu] with the left hand towards the left rear, as in Figure 110. (The movement is similar to Separate Right Foot, only with the left and right reversed).

(二). 由前式,右腳尖外擺, 然後曲膝坐實, 身右後轉, 兩掌下落, 隨身轉繞至右前十字交叉於右膝上, 面向東, 目前視, 如圖111。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, swing the right toes outward. Turn the body back towards the right, and then sit solidly on the [right leg] with the [right] knee bent. As the body turns, drop both palms down and coil them around towards the front right, crossing both hands in an "X" shape above the right knee. Face the east and look forward, as in Figure 111.

(三). 由前式獨立右腿, 左腿提平, 兩掌交叉向上掤, 面對東南, 如圖112。
(3) [Continuing] from the previous movement, stand solely on the right leg and lift the left leg [so that the thigh is] level. Ward off [peng] upward with both palms still crossed and face the southeast, as in Figure 112.

(四). 由前式右腳站稳, 左腳面繃平向前踢出, 同時兩手分開, 右手向右上方撐, 左手順左腳面向前刺出, 氣沉丹田以貫注兩掌, 目視左指, 面對正東, 如圖113。
(4) [Continuing] from the previous movement, stand firmly on the right foot. Stretch the top of the left foot forward at [hip] level and kick [i.e., like a soccer kick that uses the top of the foot]. At the same time, separate both hands, with the right hand bracing to the upper right rear direction and the left hand stabbing forward above the top of the right foot. Sink the Qi to the dan-tian, and then focus [the Qi] into the two palms. Look at the left [index] finger, and face straight towards the east, as in Figure 113.
