卄九. 退步搬攔捶
(一). 由前式鬆腰, 徐徐吸氣,兩腳不動, 後坐左腿,左手向左搬採成陽拳, 收置腰間, 同時右拳由腰側繞上向前再向左下方攔壓於襠前成陽掌, 目視右拳, 如圖80。
Posture 29. Step Back, Deflect, Parry and Beat with Fist
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Keeping both feet in place, sit back on the left leg. Move the left hand towards the left and pluck [cǎi] to end with a Yang fist that is withdrawn to the side of the waist. At the same time, coil the right fist around, going from the side of the waist, moving up towards the front, and then parry [lán] towards the left, pressing downward [yà] in front of the groin to end in a Yang fist. Look at the right fist, as in Figure 80.

(二). 由前式鬆腰, 先順直左腳, 坐實左腿, 右腳後退一步, 再坐實右腿。右手鬆開向右搬採成陽拳, 收置腰側, 同時左手由左側向前向上繞圈, 向右下方攔壓, 於襠前成陽拳, 目視左拳, 如圖80。
(2) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist. First straighten the left foot, and sit solidly on the left leg. Then take one step back with the right foot, and sit solidly on the right leg. [At the same time], release [the grip] of the right hand, and then move it towards the right and pluck [cǎi] to end with a Yang fist that is withdrawn to the side of the waist. Also, coil the left hand around, going from the left side, moving up towards the front, and then parry [lán] towards the right and press downward [yà] in front of the groin to end in a Yang fist. Look at the right fist, as in Figure 81.

(三). 由前式鬆腰徐徐沉氣, 兩腳不動, 蹬開右腿成左弓步。同時右拳向前平沖成立拳, 左手立掌上豎, 扶右小臂內。同時頂頭塌腰, 氣沉丹田以貫注兩手, 体態端正, 面對西方, 目視右拳, 如圖82。
(3) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and sink the Qi. Keeping both feet in place, begin to push through the right leg to end in a left bow stance. At the same time, punch the right fist forward at shoulder level using a standing fist. Change the left hand to a vertical standing palm that is supporting at the inside of the right forearm. Push through the crown of the head and settle down into the waist. Sink the Qi to the dan-tian, and then focus [the Qi] into both hands. Maintain an upright posture and face directly towards the west. Look at the right fist, as in Figure 82.
