十三. 如封似閉
(一). 由前式鬆腰,徐徐吸氣, 後坐右腿。同時左掌由右小臂下方沿外側向前撐出, 右拳变掌, 由左掌腕上向後抽, 面對東北, 如圖35。
Posture 13. Apparent Close Up
(1) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist and slowly inhale. Sit back on the right leg. At the same time, move the left palm to support underneath the right forearm, and then send [the left palm] forward on the outside [of the right forearm]. At the same time, change the right fist into a palm, and draw [the right palm] back until it is on top of the left wrist. Face the northeast, as in Figure 35.

(二). 繼前式身腰後抽, 再右擰約四十五度, 兩肘同時後縮雙[扌+履] 化成陽掌, 置於腰之兩側, 面對東南, 如圖36。
(2) Continuing the previous movement of drawing the waist back, twist [the waist] approximately 45 degrees to the right. At the same time, draw both elbows to the rear and do a rollback [lǚ], changing [the hands] to Yang palms that are at the sides of the waist. Face the southeast, as in Figure 36.

(三). 由前式鬆腰,徐徐隨身向左轉, 兩掌沿兩脅上提與口齊, 翻成陰掌, 雙掌即向前按出, 同時頂頭塌腰, 沉肩墜肘, 蹬開右腿成左弓步, 徐徐沉氣以貫注兩掌, 面對東北, 目前視, 如圖37。
(3) [Continuing] from the previous movement, relax the waist turn the body to the left. Raise both palms along the ribs until at mouth level. Then flip [the hands] to end in Yin palms. Promptly, push both palms out to the front. At the same time, push through the crown of the head and settle down into the waist. Sink the shoulders and drop the elbows. Begin to push through the right leg, ending in a left bow stance. Slowly sink the Qi, and then focus [the Qi] into the two palms. Face the northeast and look forward, as in Figure 37.
