Transform Learning:
PBL, Coding, and AI
for Sustainability & Inclusion
Welcome to Transform Learning
We are happy to have you here!
We thank you for expressing your interest in implementing one of the four Learning Scenarios in your classroom.
Below you can find more information about the upcoming steps of the project:
On the menu above there are 4 pages with 4 Learning Scenarios. Please choose ONLY ONE Learning Scenario that best fits your teaching context.
Implement the selected scenario as a project-based learning in ONE classroom in the period between 6 October - 20 November 2023.
While learning about different topics your students will work in teams and together they will create a final product to document what they have learned and, depending on your choice of Learning Scenario, what they have created. Your students can create the final product in any format you and they want and think would be best to showcase their learning. On the menu above you can also find a choice board with ideas on what student teams can create.
By November 20, you need to select the best final product made by student teams and submit it for the evaluation process.
The submission form is not available yet. We will open it at the beginning of November. For now you can see what information we will need from you on the dedicated page.
Your students' final project work will be evaluated by a team of experts - authors of the learning scenarios. They will use this evaluation rubric to rate the projects. Please feel free to use the same rubric to evaluate your students' projects.
8 projects, 2 for each learning scenario, will be awarded, four of them as winners, four as runners-up, at the final webinar ceremony to be held on December 6th.
Project background
Transform Learning: PBL, Coding, and AI for Sustainability & Inclusion is an initiative between Google and European Schoolnet, which started with the MOOC Computer Science with Google and continued with the Edu-hackathon with Google — an event where educator teams from different countries designed and developed four inspirational learning scenarios centered around:
Innovative pedagogical approaches to teaching coding
Visual programming
3D, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Project timeline:
5 October 2003: Webinar for all participating teachers with the designers of the learning scenarios
6 October – 20 November 2023: Classroom implementation
6 December 2023: Announcement of awarded projects (a total of 8 projects will be recognized, with 2 in each category).
Please use this Padlet if you have further questions and if you want to share how your students are progressing in their project work.
UPDATE:
THE PROJECT SUBMISSION FORM IS AVAILABLE NOW.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR STUDENTS' WORK WITH US.
