The Rescue Bots are a team of inexperienced Autobots primarily designed to serve as a rescue team on the battlefield. When their craft is drawn to Earth, Optimus Prime judges them as not ready to face the Decepticons, and instead stations them in the technologically advanced town of Griffin Rock, Maine located on an island off the east coast of America. There they must work undercover, posing as ordinary robots used as rescue vehicles by the island's "family of heroes", the Burns family. Team leader and team hothead Heatwave is paired with egotistical firefighter Kade Burns; rules pedant Chase is partnered with police chief Charlie Burns; nature-loving Boulder is paired with engineer Graham Burns, and height-fearing Blades has hotshot pilot Dani Burns for a partner.

The trailer for the fourth season was released on January 22, 2016 which shows an older Cody Burns and a female rescue bot named Quickshadow.[3][4] Season 4 first aired on April 23, 2016 and ended on October 22, 2016, lasted for four years.[5] 104 episodes have been produced.[6] As of its fourth season, Rescue Bots is the longest-running Transformers series, surpassing The Transformers, which aired for 98 episodes.

Set on the fictional island of Griffin Rock somewhere off the coast of Maine, the Rescue Bots (a group of Autobots designed for rescue missions) named Heatwave, Boulder, Blades, and Chase respond to Optimus Prime's message for any active Autobots in outer space to come to Earth. Coming out of a long stasis, the Rescue Bots learned what became of Cybertron and that they are one of the only Rescue Bot teams remaining. Deeming them too valuable for them to join the fight against the Decepticons, Optimus Prime partners them with the Burns Family composed of first response rescuers. Together, they learn teamwork and heroism alongside their human friends as they deal with various disasters while also getting themselves familiar with Earth's cultures.[8][9]

A television series was produced independently from the earlier released storybooks, set in the same story continuity as Transformers: Prime[10] and Transformers Robots in Disguise with occasional crossovers. The show aired on Hasbro's and Discovery's television network, Discovery Family.[11] Rescue Bots is developed for television by Nicole Dubuc, Brian Hohlfeld, and Jeff Kline.[8] The series had a sneak peek on December 17, 2011, and officially premiered on February 18, 2012.[8][12] It premiered on Discovery Kids in India.

Cody Burns is an 11-year old boy and later on in season 4 he is 14-15 (in rescue bots academy he is older), and the most mature of the family next to his father. It was him who first discovered the truth about the Rescue Bots, and also the one who had to convince his siblings to work with the Rescue Bots. After proving his worth in coordinating a rescue, he was made the communications operative. It is presumed Frankie and Cody are the same age, with Frankie being a little older as seen in a season 1 episode.

Blades and the rest of the Rescue Bots were originally Cybertron Rescue Team Sigma 17, a space rescue team. Having been on routine patrol before the war between Autobots and Decepticons erupted, Sigma 17 was responding to a distress call that led them into an encounter with an energon draining organism. Barely escaping, they entered stasis and set the autopilot back to cybertronian space. He and the others awoke to Optimus Prime's voice, alerting them to go to Earth. Blades was the last to choose his earth vehicle form, and found to his dismay that it was a flying vehicle.

In helicopter mode, he can fly as well as hover and use his hook to lift heavy objects or rescue people. His helicopter mode has also been modified to accommodate a scoop claw, though that gave his robot mode the appearance of being overweight. Initially hesitant, he is able to overcome his fear of flying and become a competent flyer.

Or!

Cody burns is an Entity, but with wanted to fit in like his family, he refuses to show it to them despite them knowing he has a form. Not even the bots know it. So maybe its upto another entity to help him embrace his true form.

Transformers: Rescue Bots is a series in the Transformers franchise, targeted towards younger children than its comparatives: Transformers: Prime and Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015). Two episodes first aired as a sneak preview in December of 2011, with the series premiering properly in 2012.

Set in the "Aligned continuity", the series focuses on Heatwave, Chase, Blades, and Boulder, the last surviving group of "Rescue Bots", who come to Earth in response to Optimus Prime's message to Autobots scattered across the universe. However, rather than roll out for battle, Optimus has a different task in mind for them: acting as ambassadors to humanity and working as "Rescue Bots" once again. They are instructed to masquerade as advanced machinery and work with the Burns, a family of first-responders who live and work in the town of Griffin Rock, a technologically advanced town that's on the cutting edge of scientific advancement.

With Chase partnered with police chief Charlie Burns, Heatwave with fireman Kade, Blades with helicopter pilot Dani, and Boulder with engineer Graham, the humans, save for Charlie, are initially unaware of their new vehicles' true identity as alien robots. That is, until the youngest member of the family, Cody, deduces the truth and befriends the alien machines. Soon enough, the secret becomes known to the whole family, and together, they work to save the people of Griffin Rock from all manner of natural disasters and science gone awry.

As it's targeted towards a (slightly) younger demographic, Rescue Bots is considerably Lighter and Softer than other Transformers media, focusing on telling more lighthearted stories about rescue operations and teamwork, rather than on the war with the Decepticons, as most Transformers series do. However, the series does take some Broad Strokes from current Transformers media, particularly that of its sister series, Transformers: Prime, and even has characters from Prime and its sequel series Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) cross over once or twice (plus vice versa on one occasion). Rescue Bots also uses an animation style similar to that of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and has a fairly impressive voice cast, including Steve Blum, Maurice LaMarche, and LeVar Burton. Peter Cullen makes frequent guest appearances as Optimus Prime. 17dc91bb1f
