Orci described the film's theme as "being away from home", with the Autobots contemplating living on Earth as they cannot restore Cybertron, while Sam goes to college.[37] He wanted the focus between the robots and humans "much more evenly balanced",[38] "the stakes [to] be higher", and the science fiction elements more prominent.[39] Lorenzo di Bonaventura said that in total, there are around forty robots in the film,[29] while ILM's Scott Farrar has said there are actually sixty.[40] Orci added that he wanted to "modulate" the humor more,[41] and felt he managed the more "outrageous" jokes by balancing them with a more serious plot approach to the Transformers' mythology.[42] Bay concurred that he wanted to please fans by making the tone darker,[43] and that "moms will think its safe enough to bring the kids back out to the movies" despite his trademark sense of humor.[44][better source needed]

Before Transformers was released, producer DeSanto had "a very cool idea" to introduce the Dinobots,[45] while Bay was interested in an aircraft carrier, which was dropped from the 2007 film.[46] Orci claimed they did not incorporate these characters into Revenge of the Fallen because they could not think of a way to justify the Dinobots' choice of form,[37] and were unable to fit in the aircraft carrier.[47] Orci also admitted he was also dismissive of the Dinobots because he does not like dinosaurs. "I recognize I am weird in that department", he said,[48] but he became fonder of them during filming because of their popularity with fans.[49] He added "I couldn't see why a Transformer would feel the need to disguise himself in front of a bunch of lizards. Movie-wise, I mean. Once the general audience is fully on board with the whole thing, maybe Dinobots in the future."[50] Bay said he hated the Dinobots and they had never been in consideration for being featured in the movies.[51] It is the last film in the series to be distributed by DreamWorks.

A 13 episode long web mini series released in 2010 and set within and using the Transformers design from the continuity of the live action movies. It was released on Hasbro's website and in 2011 re-released on Transformers official YouTube channel.[157] The series was made by TG Studios in only three months.[158][better source needed] It is set between the events of Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon.[159]

To be honest, I never really understood whether Bumblebee was meant to be a canonical prequel to the original movies or a full reboot, so any clarification on this would be much appreciated. Whatever your thoughts may be on this matter, please leave them in the comment section in a polite and civilized manner. We're all Transformers fans here, we just see things differently. So, leave your comments below, thanks for your time and stay safe out there.

I'm not going to act like the Michael Bay Transformer movies are Cinematic masterpieces. In fact, they are far from it. They butcher and do a lot of classic characters dirty, especially in the last two movies. They have a lot of continuity issues, one minute the Transformers only came to Earth during the Dark Ages...now the 80s? The camera cuts and angles that just scream "Michael Bay".

It's one of those movies where you can go in with some friends or family, maybe have a bucket of popcorn or some other snacks and just turn your brain off. And that's refreshing sometimes. It's not on the same level as Fast and Furious levels of over-the-top because these are literally giant mechanical beings battling rather than Street Racers doing secret agent shit.

This goes especially for the first 3. I rather enjoyed them. Sam was also a very entertaining human character to follow around due to how fucking dumb and hyper-erratic he was. I actually like Sam WAY more than Mark Whalburgers (probably spelled his name wrong but I don't care to check) character. Blocking a strike from a robot 10 times your size? Come on now movie. Even I can't turn my brain far enough off for that. The last 2 movies I can understand why people thought they were eh. And the Bumblebee movie fucked up the continuity a bit despite how it was actually pretty okay.

I didn't like the last one though. With Excalibur and all that magic shit? They could have kept that one. Megatron was cool and all but that ones plot go so dumb I would have to remove braincells to make sense of it. I stand by the rest of them though. Good movies if you wanna see shit blowup.

Serious question here, why where those movies branded as terrible? I actually enjoyed the way he did transformers rather than just copying the G1 and beast wars style, which seems to be what everyone wants, which in my opinion, isnt a good thing, because we need to move on and do something new with transformers rather than Kling to the past, especially since A lot of transformers stuff today is kids stuff like "rescue bots"

I haven't seen any of the Transformers movies, but I see that they were box office hits for the most part. I have Prime so I can watch Transformers: 2-4 and Bumblebee, but is it worth it to watch all of the movies?

I would have to rent the 1st one and then stream the 5th off of sling with ads, so I was curious if I need to go through the hassle of watching all 6 movies before Rise of Beasts, or just watch a few key ones instead?

I haven't seen any of the Transformers movies or animated series before, but I'm thinking about going into a marathon watching them. I've seen that there are mixed responses to a majority of the films, and was curious if there are some I can skip over.

I am also wondering which movies that have already come out will be in the same continuous universe as the new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. I've researched a little and it looks like it will be a sequel to Bumblebee, which is supposed to be a reboot? I've seen people say that this sequel will lead directly into the 2007 movie, so idk.

Many Christian traditions also hold to the idea of personal guardian angels. We see Bumblebee taking care of Sam throughout the movies, helping him battle alien robots and get the girl of his dreams. Even when the mission is over, Bumblebee requests to stay with Sam to guard and protect him. Sounds very guardian angel-like to me.

tho explaining it will never be easy not without seeming crazy but the story talks of a god older than time, the god is one we all live on, it sleeps tho some know they may gain power offering souls to it, outside of this realm are the parasites, these demons feed on the emotions of the lost souls, ones not protected by holy union, these souls will be consumed the day the old god awakens only those of noble purity may be saved, The power of names and contracts have been exploited by the Luciferians for instance, who knows that understanding the meaning of your true name will entail your destiny, when books and movie draw on other books or movies for inspiration they just become proxies of the same narratives and some interweave with our reality tho not quite giving the truth we are lead to believe but explaining that all of these worlds exist parallel to our own.

Paramount has big plans for the future of Hasbro's popular toy line, with many upcoming Transformers movies planned after 2023's Rise of the Beasts. The studio is developing multiple Transformers movies that will be released in the next several years. Michael Bay helped launch the Transformers franchise in 2007 with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in the lead human roles. Although Fox left after just two films, LaBeouf's Sam Witwicky remained the focus for the first trilogy. During this era of the Transformers movies, the series achieved peak popularity, as Transformers: Dark of the Moon made more than $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide (via Box Office Mojo).

The Transformers movies entered a new era without LaBeouf with Transformers: Age of Extinction, as Mark Wahlberg became the face of the Transformers movies. He returned to star in the fifth film, Transformers: The Last Knight, which proved to be the end of Michael Bay's time with the franchise. 2018 saw Bumblebee hit theaters with Hailee Steinfeld in the lead. The movie was a moderate financial hit but received strong critical reviews. With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts bringing in new human leads in Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the upcoming Transformers movies will be the start of the next chapter of the cinematic franchise.

In addition to Paramount's plans for an eighth film, Transformers 9 is also in development to wrap up the new trilogy commenced by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Like its immediate predecessor, there are no further details on what the upcoming Transformers movies are about or who will be involved. It should be expected the movie will expand the Beast Wars universe in some fashion. This could include the threat Unicron possesses after his story was left open in Rise of the Beasts. Paramount has not announced a Transformers 9 release date, but it likely won't arrive until 2028 or 2029 unless it is filmed back-to-back with Transformers 8. e24fc04721
