What Happened?

On June 1st, 2024, all students who had been receiving Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) from Beutel, the on-campus health clinic of Texas A&M, received a notification that HRT services would cease in 1 month and that they needed to find a new provider.

Multiple courses of action took place at that time, including trying to fight back but also look into the cost of alternatives. All alternatives ended up being more expensive than what was offered at Beutel, which is where the Transcend HRT fund comes in.

The best option for most of our members is Plume, on online HRT service, because of the lack of providers in town and long waitlists at doctors in the nearby cities.
