2.) I'm using an original Traktor Audio 2 interface (not the "DJ" or "MK" version). I've seen conflicting information on NI's website & elsewhere that this audio interface may have problems with Windows 10, even with the latest drivers, which were released in 2015. Has anyone else experienced this? It looks like the newer, Traktor Audio 2 MK2, *may* be supported with Windows 10?

The DRIVER download page lists both the TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 and TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 MK2 as supported on "Windows 7 and above" with an info note that states "The package installs the Windows driver (version 4.2.0) for Traktor Audio 2. Audio distortion bug fix Win10-certified"

Native Instruments has released two new sound cards to their pro DJ line. The Audio 2 stayed off the chopping block but the Audio 4 and the Audio 8 have been replaced by a new Audio 6 and Audio 10. Both sound cards are aimed at the scratch/DVS market and come bundled with traktor LE for $279 and $449 respectively. Continue reading for photos and more info.

The hardware follows in the footsteps of the Traktor software, making setup really easy by automatically switching between your internal and external sound card. The setup wizard remembers your settings so when you plug in your NI audio interface, you are good to go!

Traktor Audio 6 replaces the Audio 4 and other than the obvious 2 extra channels it also has a brand new processor and new low-latency drivers. What is low enough? Ean talks about it in the Traktor Pro 2 video walk through.

In summary, you need to create an .asoundrc file in your home folder with the following contents. Then you should be able to select each one of the channels (e.g. djA, djB, djAB) in your audio software's preferences (e.g. Mixxx).

There is a profile set in /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/native-instruments-traktor-audio10.conf that describes the card for pulseaudio. However, I am not sure whether I need to have additional kernel modules for my sound card.

I've been trying to get Traktor 6 Audio to work with pulseaudio for some time, and this thread was one of the top search results. Therefore I hope it's ok to necrobump, since everything on this thread is still relevant.

So:

On Windows, after installing the driver, I can see two output devices on the settings, on for Master and one for Headphone.

On Linux, only one output device. To select Master/Headphone is done by Chanels.

Been looking at various USB audio interfaces with 8 -10 (jack)outputs. I want to run 4 stereo channels from traktor into my dj mixer but also have an output from ableton sent to/clock an erm multiclock which will sync hardware to traktor audio(using MIDI is just too problematic). These are the 2 that look good.

Thanks for all replys people. My work around just now seems to be working. Running traktor with xone96 in build soundcard. Then using my Rane 64 as audio device in ableton to send the audio timing pulse to ERM Multiclock.

I recently bought a Behringer UCU 222 and a NI Traktor Audio 2 sound card. Both are external devices. I notice that folk on this forum talk about the ASIO4All driver. Have I wasted my money? Is the ASIO4All good enough for general use?

ASIO4ALL is a software driver that can help with latency in some cases. It is not an audio interface though. A good audio interface will offer the quality and features that cannot be replaced by software alone.

Basically apples and oranges. ASIO4ALL needs an audio interface (even your internal sound card may be one) to work at all.

ASIO4ALL can, however, help in cases where the native ASIO driver of your audio interface has issues and ASIO4ALL may work better. You would then use ASIO4ALL with your audio interface instead off the driver that came with your device.

In addition to using the CDJs as controllers, a number of the most sought-after DJ mixers now include audio interfaces, which can be used in lieu of a TRAKTOR interface. That means your mixer can be your sound card, streamlining your gear list even further.

Rane is pleased to announce our collaboration with Native Instruments to bring you Traktor certification for the new Rane MP2015 rotary mixer. This incredible mixer is generating a lot of excitement on its own, but now with Traktor Scratch certification people are freaking out, as this is the first Rane mixer to have Traktor Scratch certification! Now, Traktor Scratch users can control of two or more virtual decks with Traktor control vinyl or control CDs. It is also the first Traktor Scratch certified mixer with dual USB ports; allowing easy back-to-back DJing and quick changeovers.

Setup is easy with the MP2015's class compliant Core Audio drivers for Mac. Windows users simply need to install an the included ASIO driver. The MP2015's control surface is MIDI mappable to Traktor giving you software control directly on the mixing console. Traktor isn't bundled with the MP2015, but it is available for easy download from the Native Instruments website: www.native-instruments.com

The #futureofdjing has never been so bright!

Since everything worked fine plug and play after installing Traktor Pro3 Software i never look for additional driver. On the NI Website i just found a S4 MK3 ASIO driver. After installing it i was able to change the Bitrate and Hz. 24 bit 44hz was set without the driver and was causing the problem, from what i can tell now. I set the Samplerate to 24 bit 48 hz and Spotify is working again!!

It never worked with the Traktor Interface. When i was searching for a solution i found several ppl having problems with external audio interfaces but non of the solutions worked for me unfortunately.

I also had this problem with Reaktor 6 from Native Instruments. I was just playing around with it and changed the audio setting's driver to WASAPI Exclusive Mode. Since then I couldn't play any videos from my computer or play music on Spotify, pretty desperate! After reading this community post, I thought I should set the sampling rate to the original, since I played around with it as well. But before that I wanted to see if a change in the driver setting would make a difference. Switched back to WASAPI Shared Mode and all my audio / video player work!!

Have you made sure that any of the drivers your Traktor needs is installed and up to date?

I'd recommend reinstalling Traktor as well as the Spotify app to give both of them a fresh start.
