Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Trakio mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

About Trakio

Trakio is a comprehensive personal finance and expense tracking application that helps users manage their financial records through multiple accounts, track expenses and income with categories, create shortcuts for quick data entry, set visual savings goals, and analyze spending patterns. The App includes iOS widget integration for convenient access to financial summaries and is designed for personal financial management only.

License and Permitted Use

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Permitted Uses

You may use Trakio to:

• Account Management: Create and manage multiple financial accounts (checking, savings, credit cards, cash, etc.)

• Transaction Tracking: Record income, expenses, and transfers between accounts with detailed categorization

• Goal Setting: Create and monitor savings goals with visual progress tracking and custom images

• Shortcut Creation: Set up quick transaction templates for frequently used entries

• Data Analysis: Generate spending reports, statistics, and financial trends based on your transaction history

• Image Documentation: Attach photos to goals for motivation and to records for receipt documentation

• Widget Integration: Display account summaries on iOS home and lock screen widgets

• Data Management: Import transaction data from CSV files and export your financial records

• Security Features: Enable biometric authentication and sensitive mode for privacy protection

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the App for commercial or business purposes without proper licensing

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

• Allow others to access your device or financial data

• Use the App for illegal activities or money laundering

• Attempt to bypass security features or authentication measures

• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

User Account and Data

Your Responsibility

• Data Accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of all financial information you enter across accounts, records, and goals

• Device Security: You must keep your device secure and protect access to your financial data, especially when using widgets

• Backup Management: You are responsible for maintaining backups of your important financial records and attached images

• Biometric Security: If you enable biometric authentication, ensure your device biometrics are secure and up-to-date

• Image Content: You are responsible for ensuring that any images attached to goals or records are appropriate and legally obtained

• Widget Privacy: Consider privacy implications when displaying financial information in home screen and lock screen widgets

• Shortcut Management: Ensure that shortcut templates contain accurate and appropriate financial information

Data Accuracy

• Trakio is a tool to help you track finances; it does not provide financial advice

• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all calculations and reports

• The App should not be your only record of financial transactions

Subscription and In-App Purchases

Premium Features

Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro" version) including:

• Unlimited financial accounts (free users limited to 1 account)

• Multiple currencies within accounts

• Edit account currency after creation

• Currency exchange and conversion functionality

• Support for future development and new features

Billing Terms

• Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store

• Billing is automatic and recurring unless cancelled

• Prices are subject to change with notice

• No refunds for partial subscription periods

• Apple's standard refund policies apply

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

• Trakio and all related trademarks, designs, and content are our property

• The App's source code, algorithms, and user interface are protected by copyright

• You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App

Your Data

• Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all financial data, images, goals, shortcuts, and account information entered into the App

• Local Storage: Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to or process your personal financial information

• Export Control: You can export your account transaction data at any time in CSV format for backup or migration purposes

• Image Rights: You retain ownership of all images attached to goals and records, with full control to view, edit, or delete them

• Widget Data: Financial information displayed in iOS widgets remains under your control and is processed locally on your device

Privacy and Security

Data Protection

• Your financial data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database

• No cloud synchronization - all data remains on your device

• We implement industry-standard security measures

Security Measures

• Use strong device passcodes and biometric authentication

• Keep your iOS system updated for security patches

• Be cautious when using the App on shared or public devices

• Consider widget privacy when financial data is displayed on lock/home screens

• Report security concerns immediately

iOS Widget Integration

Widget Functionality

Trakio provides home screen and lock screen widgets for convenient access to your financial information:

• Account Summaries: Display current balances and recent transactions from selected accounts

• Quick Overview: Show spending trends and account status without opening the app

• Privacy Controls: Configure which accounts appear in widgets through app settings

• Local Processing: All widget data is processed locally using iOS WidgetKit framework

Widget Limitations and Responsibilities

• Privacy Consideration: Widgets display financial information on your home and lock screens where others may see it

• Data Refresh: Widget data updates periodically based on iOS system limitations, not real-time

• Device Dependency: Widgets are an iOS feature and may have limitations based on your device and iOS version

• User Control: You can disable or configure widget content through iOS Settings and the Trakio app

Financial Advice Disclaimer

• Trakio is a tracking tool, not a financial advisor

• We do not provide investment, tax, or financial planning advice

• Consult qualified professionals for financial guidance

• Past performance data does not predict future results

Accuracy and Reliability

• We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee error-free operation

• All calculations are provided for convenience only

• Verify all financial calculations independently

• The App may have occasional downtime or technical issues

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any financial losses or decisions based on App data

• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App

• We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure or user error

• We provide the App "as is" without warranties of any kind

Termination

Your Right to Terminate

• You may stop using the App at any time

• Uninstalling the App terminates your license

• Active subscriptions continue until the end of the billing period

App Removal

Since the app operates entirely on your device, we cannot remotely disable your access. However, we reserve the right to:

• Remove the app from the App Store if Terms are violated

• Discontinue future updates or support

• Take appropriate legal action if necessary

Updates and Changes

App Updates

• We may release updates to improve functionality and security

• Some updates may be required for continued use

• New features may require additional permissions

Terms Changes

• We may update these Terms from time to time

• Material changes will be communicated through the App

• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

Age Restrictions

• Trakio is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages

• Users under 18 should have parental supervision when managing finances

• Parents are responsible for their minor children's use of the App
