Trakio ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Trakio mobile application ("App") on iOS and Android.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Financial Data: Transaction records including amounts, dates, descriptions, categories, and attached images

• Account Information: Financial account names, types (checking, savings, credit card, cash, etc.), currencies, and descriptions you create

• Settings & Preferences: App settings, language preferences, security settings, and widget display preferences

• Categories: Custom spending and income categories with names, icons, and colors

• Goal Data: Savings goals with titles, descriptions, target amounts, contribution tracking, and custom images

• Shortcut Templates: Quick transaction templates with predefined amounts, categories, and accounts for fast entry

• Images: Photos attached to Goals (for motivation/visualization) and Records (receipts, documentation). Note: image attachments are not available for Recurring Record templates.

• Recurring Records: Recurring transaction templates including type, amount, category, frequency, interval, reminder time, and auto-creation preferences

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version

• App Usage Data: Local app performance metrics (stored on device only)

Biometric Data

• Authentication Data: Face ID, Touch ID (iOS), and fingerprint authentication (Android) are processed locally on your device only for app security. Biometric templates are never transmitted or stored by us.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Core Functionality: Track expenses, income, and transfers across your financial accounts

• Goal Management: Monitor savings goals with visual progress tracking and custom images

• Shortcut Automation: Create and use quick transaction templates for faster data entry

• Recurring Transactions: Automatically create scheduled transactions and send push notification reminders based on your configured recurring records

• Widget Display: Show account summaries and recent transactions on iOS home and lock screen widgets

• Data Analysis: Generate spending reports, statistics, and trends based on your transaction categories

• Security: Protect your financial data using biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID on iOS; fingerprint on Android)

• Import/Export: Process CSV files for data backup and migration between devices

• Subscription Management: Handle Pro feature access and in-app purchase validation

• App Performance: Monitor local app performance and fix technical issues

• Customer Support: Provide assistance when you contact us directly, including through the in-app feature request and contact support screens

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

• All financial data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database

• Data is encrypted and secured using platform security features (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore)

• Biometric authentication provides additional protection

Network Access

• The App accesses the internet only when you open the in-app Feature Requests or Contact Support screens, which load web content in a secure WebView

• No financial data is transmitted during this access

• All other app functionality operates entirely offline

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Since all your data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, we have no access to your personal financial information to share.

The only data that leaves your device is when:

• You explicitly export it: When you use the app's export feature to save or share your financial data

• Device backups: If you have device backups enabled, your data may be included in those backups

Your Rights and Controls

Data Access and Control

• Export Data: Export your financial records in CSV format

• Delete Data: Delete individual transactions, categories, or entire accounts

• Complete Data Removal: Uninstall the app to permanently remove all data from your device

Privacy Settings

• Sensitive Mode: Hide financial amounts throughout the app

• Biometric Lock: Enable Face ID/Touch ID protection

• Widget Controls: Choose what data appears in iOS widgets

Children's Privacy

Trakio is suitable for users aged 4 and above. Since all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect or transmit personal information to external servers, children can use the app safely under parental supervision. Parents should review the app's functionality and ensure it is appropriate for their child's use.

International Data Transfers

Since all data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers unless you explicitly export and share your data.

Data Retention

• Financial Records: Retained until you delete them or uninstall the app

• App Settings: Retained while you use the app

• Subscription Data: Retained as required for billing and compliance purposes

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting an updated policy in the app

• Sending an in-app notification

• Updating the "Last Updated" date above

Push Notifications

Trakio uses push notifications for recurring transaction reminders:

• Reminder Notifications: When you enable reminders on a recurring record, the App schedules local push notifications to alert you before or on the due date

• Local Only: All notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device using the Notifee library; no notification data is sent to external servers

• Custom Timing: You can configure the reminder time (hour and minute) for each recurring record

• User Control: You can disable notifications entirely through your device's system settings or by disabling reminders on individual recurring records

iOS Widgets and Home Screen Integration

Trakio provides iOS home screen and lock screen widgets that display financial information:

• Widget Data: Widgets show account balances, recent transactions, and spending summaries from your selected accounts

• Privacy Controls: You can control which accounts appear in widgets through the app's settings

• Local Processing: All widget data is processed locally on your device using iOS WidgetKit framework

• No Network Access: Widgets do not transmit any data to external servers or third parties

• Sensitive Mode: When enabled, sensitive mode will hide financial amounts in widgets for additional privacy

Camera and Photo Library Access

The App requests camera and photo library permissions to:

• Goal Images: Take photos or select existing images for your savings goals to provide visual motivation and customization

• Record Documentation: Attach photos to individual transaction records for receipts, documentation, or reference purposes

• Local Storage Only: All photos and images are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers

• User Control: You can view, edit, or delete any images attached to Goals or Records at any time

• Optional Feature: Image attachments are completely optional and not required for core app functionality

• Scope: Image attachments apply to Goals and transaction Records only. Recurring Record templates do not support image attachments.
