Description of the activity
The visit in Poland and fulfilment of the tasks took place on 19th -25th October 2022.
On the 20th October an official welcoming of the guests took place. Different groups presented their schools,regions and countries.Students took part in biology and English classes.Meanwhile, the teachers observed the classes of physics and English. During the first day the following goals were achieved:improving the ability of auto - presentation by students,integration of particular teams,enhancing the ability of working at the microscope.
On the 21th October 2022 a trip to Toruń was organised. The participants of the project listened to the lecture entitled ''Enhance Your Brain” at the Department of Psychology of Nicolaus Copernicus University, which outlined the rules of functioning of the human senses,In the centre of Exploration of Space Planetarium, they watched a science movie about the formation and the structure of the universe.The contestants got familiar with the history of Toruń and its monuments.The goals were completed:the increase of awareness as far as the dangers of mental health are concerned through getting to know the mechanisms of functioning of human brain,acquiring the basic information about the universe,receiving the knowledge of the history of Tetonic Order,
On the 22nd October all the students were divided into international teams.Students participated in different competitions.The tasks were checking the general knowledge, the other mental skills in various fields ( Birthday game, Letters, What is this melody?, Quiz for smart heads)Apart from these activities the students took part in a logical game called Rummikub. Next, they created the calendar of mental activities together in the IT room, which they performed so far during the project. During this day all conducted activities let the students gain the following targets:shaping the skill of logical and strategical thinking,forming the ability of cooperation,
The next day (23rd October 2022)the students and the teachers involved in the project spent in the holiday resort named Szarlota.The mixed teams competed in the game of bowling. After the delivery of the certificates of participation, the guests had an opportunity to admire the dance groups called the Dance and Rhythm and the Cashubian Band of Song and Dance.During this day some particular purposes were reached:the integration of the students from different countries through playing and having fun,familiarizing with the elements of regional culture,
On the 24th October 2022 all the contestants participated in a trip to Gdańsk.They learnt about the most important monuments located in the Main Town in Gdańsk.Next the groups with the guides visited the European Centre of Solidarity.By taking part in the trip to Gdańsk the certain purposes were achieved:improving the ability of recognising the most crucial styles of architecture,promotion of democratic values and peaceful attitude.
On 25th October 2022 groups departed for home.
The participants in this mobility obtained crucial benefits:There was an exchange of experiences from a different point of views among participant students during the process of this project. Participants gained the feeling of belonging to a team and worked collaboratively with their European peers in order to design a workshop and calendar.The LTTs activities supported teamwork among European teenagers, encouraged the collaboration of schools and networking through Europe with the use of ICT. After evaluating the results of the questionnaires, students were better aware of the negative results of excessive usage of digital tools and their effects on their social life and academic success.
Thus, they were able to cooperate concurrently with the aim of lessening these worldwide shared problems. Participants played 4 predetermined games and this provided a good opportunity for them to discover various Brain Teasers which enabled them to engage in various mental activities and improve four language skills. By creating presentations about their countries and presenting them to their peers and teachers, participant students gained self-confidence and lived the honour of representing their countries.The detailed agenda of the meeting helped the students to participate readily for mobility.
The meeting which was held following the mobility contributed to the dissemination of the experience and knowledge obtained in Poland mobility.Training activities during the project encouraged students to use a foreign language.Updated web pages provided the students following up the workings (activities), improving the ICT skills, and also it contributed dissemination of the project in the long term.Experience gained during Poland mobility was reinforced and disseminated by online and face to face meetings which functioned as icebreakers and sustained follow up for the
