Michael Benjamin ("we", "us", or "our") operates TrackR: Lap Timing, Race & Ride ("TrackR", "the app").
This Privacy Policy explains how TrackR collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.
By using TrackR, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Depending on how you use TrackR, we may collect the following information.
When you create a TrackR account, we may collect:
Email address
Username or display name
User ID
Profile photo
This information is used to create and maintain your TrackR account and provide social features.
TrackR uses your device's location and GPS information to provide track-day features, including:
Automatic lap timing
Sector timing
Live delta
Track and session information
Speed and turn-speed information
Heat maps
Leaderboards
Activity cards
GPS information may be associated with your TrackR account and track sessions. Where applicable, GPS and session information may be stored on our backend so that it can be displayed as part of your activity and shared track-day content.
TrackR may integrate with Apple Health/HealthKit to access fitness information such as heart-rate data.
Where you choose to use these features, health and fitness data may be associated with your TrackR activity or session and may be used to provide track-day performance information.
TrackR does not use health or fitness information for advertising or tracking purposes.
We do not sell health or fitness information.
TrackR allows you to create and share content, including:
Profile photos
Car photos
Posts
Comments
Activity cards
Garage information
Track-day results and other user-generated content
Content you choose to share may be visible to other TrackR users depending on the app's social features and your interactions with other users.
You may provide information about vehicles in your Garage, including vehicle make and model and associated photos.
This information may be associated with your TrackR account and used to provide garage features, leaderboards and track-day activity.
TrackR includes social features that allow you to:
Follow other users
Have followers
Like posts
Comment on posts
Share activity
View other users' profiles and content
Information relating to these interactions may be stored and associated with your TrackR account.
TrackR offers optional paid features through TrackR Pro.
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We may receive information necessary to determine whether your TrackR Pro subscription is active and to provide access to Pro features.
We do not receive or store your full credit card or bank account information when payment is processed through Apple's App Store.
We use information collected through TrackR to:
Provide and operate TrackR
Create and manage user accounts
Record and display lap times
Calculate sector times and performance information
Provide GPS-based track features
Display leaderboards
Provide heat maps
Create activity cards
Enable social features
Store and display user-generated content
Manage vehicle garages
Provide TrackR Pro features
Process and manage subscription access
Improve the reliability and functionality of the app
Respond to support requests
Protect the security and integrity of TrackR
Comply with applicable legal obligations
TrackR uses third-party service providers to operate certain parts of the app.
TrackR uses Supabase to provide backend infrastructure and data storage.
Information stored through Supabase may include account information, user-generated content, vehicle information, track sessions, lap and sector data, GPS information and other information required to provide TrackR's features.
Where enabled by you, TrackR may access fitness information through Apple's HealthKit framework, including heart-rate information.
TrackR only accesses HealthKit information required for features that you choose to use.
HealthKit data is handled in accordance with Apple's requirements for health and fitness data.
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared in the following circumstances:
Information and content that you choose to make available through TrackR's social features may be visible to other users. This may include your username, profile information, vehicle information, posts, photos, activity cards, lap results, leaderboard results, comments and social interactions.
We may share or provide access to information with service providers that help us operate TrackR, such as backend infrastructure providers.
These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes or lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety and security of TrackR, our users or others.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide TrackR and its features, maintain user accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
When you delete your TrackR account, we will delete or anonymise your account information and associated data, subject to information that we may be required or permitted to retain for legitimate legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
You can delete your TrackR account using the account deletion functionality provided within the app.
Deleting your account will remove your TrackR account and associated information, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain.
If you have an active TrackR Pro subscription, deleting your TrackR account does not necessarily cancel your Apple subscription. You should manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account/App Store subscription settings.
You may:
Access and manage information associated with your TrackR account
Choose whether to provide certain optional information
Control location permissions through your iPhone settings
Control HealthKit permissions through Apple's Health settings
Delete your TrackR account through the app
Choose what content you share through TrackR's social features
Disabling location or HealthKit access may prevent certain TrackR features from functioning.
TrackR is not directed toward children under the applicable minimum age for use of the service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to TrackR improperly, please contact us.
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information handled through TrackR against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
TrackR and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country in which you live.
Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers of personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as TrackR develops or as legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
