Trace Terms of Service

Introduction

By inviting and using the bot, you agree to the following Terms of Service ("ToS") and the accompanying Privacy Policy. These terms are in addition to Discord Terms of Service ("Discord ToS") and Discord Community Guidelines.

Continued usage of the bot signifies your acceptance of the ToS, Privacy Policy, Discord ToS, and Discord Community Guidelines. If you do not wish to agree, remove the bot from your server and discontinue use.

Purpose of the Bot

Trace is a discord bot, primarily designed to facilitate easy and convenient logging of events by members within the servers to which the bot is added ("users"). It's smooth function, constant uptime, and well thought-out process makes it the easy choice for any roleplay service, especially for games such as Emergency Response: Liberty County ("ERLC"). 

User conduct

Users of the bot agree that they are older than the age of 13, and that they will  NOT to use Trace for any purpose that:

• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

• Encourages or engages in harrassment, hate speech, discrimination, or any other kind of abusive behavior

• Distributes or promotes any form of sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content

• Logs false or misleading information outside of the intended roleplay context, especially for malicious purposes. 

• Encourages or facilitates self-harm, violence, abuse, or illegal activites

• Violates any poriton of Discord ToS or Discord Community Guidelines

Data Collection and Privacy

Trace gathers and stores ("collects") limited user and server data to operate and provide its intented features. This includes (but is not limited to) collecting: User IDs (For command execution), Server IDs & Server Role IDs (For configuration settings), and any logged data as saved by users.

All data which is collected is collected soley for the purpose of logging information. This information is used to help prevent command abuse, allow guilds to track activity, and allow guild owners full knowledge of what is taking place within these guilds. Data which is collected may be erased upon request.

Liability

Trace Developers are not responsible in any way for content or actions taken by users through the bot, nor for any misuse of the bot. Trace is provided 'as is', without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Trace Developers will not be liable for any damage arising from use or inability to properly use the bot, including but not limited to loss of data or disruption of service.

While we take action against reported violations of our Terms of Service, Trace developers are not liable for any log content created by any user. To report a violation to the Terms of Service, please visit our support server.

Privilege of Use

Trace Developers reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to any user or server, without prior notice, at our soul discretion, especially in response to a violation of Trace ToS, Discord ToS, Discord Community Guidelines, or any applicable laws. To appeal actions taken against your account or server, please visit our support server.

Changes to Terms of Service

These Terms of Service may be updated at any time, without advanced notice. Notice will be given within the Trace Support Server. Continued use of the bot after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms of Service.
