Dr. Hohimer has a Bachelors of Music from University of Southern California where she studied vocal jazz. She then went on to obtain her M.D. at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1999. After finishing her residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in NYC, she accepted a faculty position at Mt. Sinai serving as the residency site director at Jersey City Medical Center. In 2010 she accepted a position at Kaiser and relocated her family to Northern California. She is a Senior Partner at Kaiser Permanente NSA, serving as both an assistant chief in Vacaville and recruitment lead.

In her time off she enjoys spending time with her husband and 16 year old daughter, traveling, attending music concerts and enjoying wine and food in the beautiful Napa Valley.
