Treasurer

W. Wesley Higgins is the Treasurer of the Town of Redding.

The operating budget for FY 23 is reduced by $4,602.

The Town treasurer receives all money belonging to the town, pays it out on the order of the proper authority and keeps a record of all moneys received and when received and of all moneys paid out, when, for what and upon whose authority, which record shall always be open to the inspection of any taxpayer in such town and shall be presented to each annual town meeting, being first sworn to by him and adjusted by the selectmen.

• On the revenue side of the budget, the treasurer is budgeting for a $150,000 increase in investment income. Income flows to the general fund and increases the fund balance.

• On the expense side, the budget benefits from a reduction of $114,046 in debt service payments.
